We were very impressed. The place was excellent, it was lovely, and very nice. We went to check the independent portion of it. The place was clean and nothing caught our eye. The staff who gave us the tour was fine. She was a lovely lady who was knowledgeable and very pleasant.

The apartments were very nice, airy, well thought-out, and carpeted to avoid challenges with falls. They have a lot of activities, there's an exercise room, outings to the theater, the museum, the arboretum, and local activities as well. The can also utilize seniors to give them a sense of purpose, like serving on boards or panels to help them make a decision on what works or what doesn't. My mother sings and they suggested my mother go and sing in the assisted living area to help her feel more purposeful, so it's very nice.

It was nice, but the food was not all that good. The staff was fine. They had exercise programs, but not many activities going on at that time. The dining area was nice. The room size and layout were fine, really pretty, and light.

I would rate it higher than other communities. It is less than a mile from where I live. I like the newness of it. The amenities are the same. I think the people are more mobile. The staff members are very nice.
