I visited this facility

Landing at Watermere Frisco was very good and the building is nice because it was only 2 years old. It was built in a modern way, and they had a lot of activities there. What appealed to me was they had an indoor pool which you could use when you wanted to. They didn't have any medical kind of facilities nearby so you had to go choose your own. They have a very nice dining room. The staff was extremely kind and the security in the place was really very good. The staff is very helpful and showed me various apartments that were available. They were very courteous. The menu seemed very comprehensive and their meal plans are really good. They had an extra bistro or wine bar which seemed satisfactory.

Landing at Watermere Frisco was visually dynamic. It looked like they spent a lot of money on the visuals and the decoration. It's a beautiful place. The staff during the tour was very warm and very inviting, and they really made a lot of effort to connect with us. The dining area was very nice and well kept. They were doing bingo and music, and they seemed to go beyond on the activities.

Watermere Frisco is brand new, and it is very convenient for all our relatives. It is right off of the highway, and everybody in the family can get to it really easily. They have Bingo and outings they go on; they have 2 or 3 activities every day. They serve breakfast and lunch, and then they serve dinner twice a week. My parents are in the independent living part. They have laundry services, and they have a swimming pool with instructors, a gym with instructors, big lounge areas, and an awesome restaurant where you can order off of a menu. It is really nice. They have independent living then they have a thing called the Bridge, which is in-between independent and assisted living, and then they have assisted and memory care. The staff is super friendly. They know what is going on with the residents, and they are very knowledgeable.

I am/was a resident of this facility

We live in Parkview in Frisco. The only problem we’ve encountered is that the food is horrible. We’ve tried to get them to change it, but they refused to do it. Our apartment is OK, and the people are friendly. The apartments have cabinets, there’s a shower in the master bedroom, the bedroom is big, and it has a full kitchen, although the appliances in there are not all brand new. They serve three meals a day, but the quality of the food is very poor right now. They pay for all the electricity and everything, except for your TV and telephone. The manager is a nice guy, he just doesn’t know how to manage very well. I can’t really say that the value is good because we’re paying a lot of money, but we’re not getting the kind of food we’re paying for.

We used to live at Watermere at Frisco. It’s a terrible place to live. It’s a brand-new building, but the quality of the building itself is poor. We lived on the second floor and the roof leaked. They don’t fix anything, and you have to pay for the parts to get it fixed. They advertise three meals a day, but breakfast most of the time was not even adible, and now the residents are lucky to get one meal a day. The parking garage leaked. On the second floor they have a garden on top of the parking garage that drains on top of it, and water runs into the apartments. The activities ate terrible. At 8:00 at night all their activities are in one area and they lock it up so you can't go in there. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody, and I would rate the staff very poor. The facilities are poorly-made and everything was coming apart at the seams, the windows leaked, the ceilings leaked, and they didn’t fix any of it.

Watermere at Frisco was very clean and friendly. We were quite impressed. We met some of the staff and they were very friendly and helpful. One of them took some time to show the exercise room with gym equipment. They have a Parkinson's group that meets there on a regular basis. They took some time out to show the facilities and we were quite impressed. It's in a rather new development area and it's easy to get to.

Watermere Frisco was open, had some large patios, and was new and nice inside. You didn't have to buy, you just rent, but you have to pay an awful lot for a garage, and it seemed to me like we were out in the boondocks. They had a list of activities and a bus that will take you to the doctor, or to the grocery stores. We had a nice lunch there. The staff was very friendly, very nice, answered questions, and took care of all that. Relatives of my daughter-in-law loved it there. Another thing that attracted us was I could drive back to McKinney without going on the freeway since our doctors are in McKinney, and we don't want to change doctors, so the location is good for us.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

My Father was at this location for just over a day. He is unable to walk, is very weak, and was not to be left unattended while outside of the bed for any period of time at all. The staff was to always use a gait belt with two people to assist moving him. 1. The staff would NOT use the gait belts 2. Used gloves left on the bathroom floor. Trash not taken out. Had to request the nurse take the trash out which was done ONLY when we brought it to their attention. Not very clean 3. Though it was discussed multiple times the staff left my Dad unattended for a period of time in the restroom. Wanting to move he decided to try and get up to move and fell. He was on multiple drugs so on top of the fact that he is weak and unable to walk he was on some very strong medicine. He ended up with multiple fractures in his cheek and about 7 stitches just above his eye. He was rushed to the ER and had to spend four days inpatient. The techs are absolutely rude, argue with each other and do not smile. If you care about your loved one do not send them here. I am saddened that a facility like this seems to care more about profit then they do patients. One wonders what kind of experience others are having that are either unknown or not reported! Obviously there are some serious management issues with this facility...

The Cottages at Chapel Creek is very homey and very comfortable. They have wonderful programs, and the caregivers are very caring. It's been very good. They have single rooms and shared rooms of different sizes. There are grand pianos on each side of the building. They have a full schedule of activities planned each day that are appropriate for the different levels of memory care needs. Great entertainment comes in a couple of times a week as do hairdressers. Pricing seems to be pretty much in line with everything else that I've seen.
