I am/was a resident of this facility

I'm in The Regency House, I believed their promises and I'm very unhappy here. They're not resident-oriented. They advertised that they have chef-prepared meals but they're institutional kids' cafeteria food. They advertised that weekly housekeeping can't touch any of the residents' property, so there's nothing that they can do, they don't move wastebaskets or little step stools to vacuum under it. They leave the floor soaking wet, when they finish doing whatever they do, they don't clean the sink, counters, or anything like that. The food is inedible; it's not something that you would wanna serve to anybody. I do physical therapy there, they have a room with a few machines and I pay extra for that. They haven't lived up to the agreement that I signed. They don't do the housekeeping, I can't hear the announcement that they sent over out on the PA system in the hallways, and they don't communicate when they make changes, I can't remember everything that is wrong with this place. The staff is very rude on my floor.

I really liked The Regency House, but the pricing was out of our budget. I liked the way it was laid out, the rooms, and the location. I was pleased with the amenities. They had full dining, they had activities, and they take them to and from the store and to and from the doctor. We met with one person and that was the person who showed me around the facility, and she seemed very knowledgeable of the place. The gentleman in the front asked me to sign in and do the temperature check. He was following their guidelines for COVID-19.

I had been in some assisted living places for my other relatives, which were very dark and depressing and were basically a long hall with a little room. The Regency House has a long hall with doors also, but we got a two-bedroom and two-bath, which is four times the size of the other person we're talking about. It has an external door so you don't have to go through the community hall every time. There's a walking trail all around the place with seats where you can sit. And there is this little place, about the size of a car, where my mom can plant plants and her own bushes. Everythig else I saw wasn't like that. We looked at the outside of about 11 places and we just didn't feel warm and fuzzy. We saw this place, and from the outside you can see the trail go around it and the outside just looked brighter. So of those 11 places, we went in there. The people were very nice and professional and then we saw her place; it's like an apartment. The other place was very dreary. It was just the whole cherriness of the place, the amount of room, and the price. My parents can pay everything for themselves. I thought it was cheap for the two-bedroom and two-bath.

The Regency House is not up-to-date, it needs refurbishing and remodelling. It's quite dated. They have good-sized rooms, and a good selection. They have activities, a library and amenities but they're all minimally satisfactory. They don't have a good library, but they have a library. There's not much emphasis on their outdoor space as far as I can see, but the people were very friendly.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother likes The Regency House. They don't have assisted living, but they have an outside agency that comes in and offers services for people who need assistance. It's a very nice place. She has a studio, but they also have nice little 1-bedroom apartments. I would recommend them. It's a friendly place, and it has a nice welcoming entryway with a fireplace. The workers seem very nice and capable. They have a very nice dining room with meals that my mother enjoys and they're well done and very nicely cooked. It's reasonably priced. They have Bingo, people come in to play music and give yoga classes, they have a preacher that comes, exercise class, and a van that takes them places. They include room cleaning in the price, but if they need help with dressing or getting to and from the dining room, those are extra provided by an outside agency and that is added on to your cost. They do a very good job.

The Regency House was older and somewhat rundown, but they keep it clean and well maintained. The two people we talked to were very helpful. We ate a meal that was adequate. There seemed to be a lack of resources. They had a little exercise room with a couple of machines. I was not that impressed by it.

I liked the variety of the rooms at The Regency House. The apartment was very nice. The dining area was spacious. They had games, driving service to take people shopping and to other activities, and a library. The staff was very friendly, very helpful and very welcoming.

Briarwood Health and Rehabilitation Center' staff was very personable and friendly. The seniors who were there seemed to be content. The living space and security parameters there would meet my level of expectation for such a facility. They seem to be pretty organized in terms of activities for the residents. The place looked like it was being maintained and not rundown. It looks like it had some age to it and it doesn't look like they have done anything to modernize it, but it's not really old. They offer total care because some residents can't do much of anything for themselves. They seemed like they had adequate parking. The landscaping was maintained and had a neat appearance. The facility itself was kind of secluded so at least once you drive in, you don't have to worry about getting lost or getting turned around in the wrong direction once you get to that street or driveway. They're very easy to find.

I was not very impressed with Coventry Place. Their rooms were big and they offered apartments instead of just rooms. It was very old and shabby and did not seem like a very nice place. The people were very nice. They take residents shopping and have game nights. They have a full calendar of social events. The outside appearance and landscaping weren't bad, but they need to do extensive remodeling of the residents' units and the cafeteria area.
