The staff at Montclair Royale showed me what room Mom would have had, and it's with another lady. I was very impressed with the dining room, which was very nice looking. They had pretty areas like an open garden in the interior part of the complex. They had an assigned seating place in the dining area. The rooms were bigger than I expected them to be. The outdoor area was landscaped very nicely.
My friend was at Montclair Royale. The room was very nice. They provided food, shelter, and hospice care. They had community activities, but they also had the standard things. There was a salon and a chapel. The food was fine. The staff was excellent.
I visited Montclair Royale, but I wasn't impressed at all. It's dated, very dark, and run-down and didn't seem very clean. The people are very nice, but it's not a place where I would want to live. They had an activities room with a TV and a bingo game going on when I was there. They also take the residents out once a week. The person who gave me the tour was nice.
I like that Montclair Royale is closer to my place and is priced better. It's an assisted living place, and the staff seems to be good and does a professional job. They have a dining room, a salon, and there's rec room with a TV where they hold events. They don't allow any cooking in the individual rooms so there are no electrical appliances. It's pretty basic but they do supply some things, like the bed and whatnot. The people seem to be relatively attentive, but I heard other people complain about the food. They have exercise classes every morning, bible studies, and other little meetings. I don't think they take them out on tours of any kind outside of the building, but they do take you to doctors' appointments, which is nice.
Mom has lived at Montclair Royale for two years now. It is a nice place, very comfortable, clean, and the staff is very pleasant. She's in memory care, and they just started having better activities than in the past. She has a shared room, which is spacious with walk-in closets. I don't like that they have an activity room that is not big enough for the number of residents. They have a very small television for that room. They also do not have a big enough staff to patient ratio. Although they do as much as they can, there are too many clients.
The person that gave me the tour of Montclair Royale was very informative. Everyone there seemed to be happy. The only thing is, they said that they’d get back to me if they were able to work with my budget, and they never did. The place looks clean, they have a big dining area and a smaller room upstairs that serves as a TV room, and they were doing activities with the patients in another room.
Montclair Royale was excellent, the price was good, and the facility was clean. The marketing person was very helpful. I learned a lot from her. They had movie nights in a theater that's just a big TV with chairs, actually, and the dining room was really nice. The rooms were huge and really nice. Debra helped us with the financial situation of my stepdad to get more from the VA. She knew who to contact and really helped us a lot.
Montclair Royale was nice, and the people were very nice. It was a bigger place, but my friend gets overwhelmed by big places because she's kind of a loner. I did not feel it would be the right place for her. It's more like an older hotel when you walk down the hallway, but the dining area was nice.
My sister-in-law moved into Montclair Royale and is happy and comfortable. She does exercises every morning. They have bingo and watch movies together in the activity room. They have three meals a day and a snack bar where they can go if they get hungry in between. They provide transportation for doctors' appointments. The staff is very helpful to her. The rooms are adequately sized.
I liked Montclair Royale. One of the people in charged was Debra, who called me back. I liked what I saw there. They showed me everything, and we had a good tour. It was not as close to me as the other ones I visited. I would be going back because she called me when she said she would. It was a plus for me. It was a very nice place. I did not see anything that I did not like. You had a choice of a single or shared room. However, there weren't any available rooms. Debra was very helpful and very informative. She was able to tell us the things we could do that were offered to my mother.
Montclair Royale doesn't accept dogs, and I have a dog. The staff was very pleasant and very nice. The dining area was very neat, and the rooms were nice.
I visited Montclair Royale. I only met the sales person, who was fine. The community was fine. I didn’t have any issues with it, but it was just didn't fit because my mom needs more help than that. The rooms were fine and spacious. I didn't have a problem with them. They were very spacious. I was there for a short time, and it seemed fine.
Our visit to Montclair Royale was fair, and they treated us well. The rooms were one- or two-bedroom units, which were pretty good. The food was good and presentable. They had a movie room with a television, bingo, and trips to doctors' appointments.
