I took a tour at Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg, and I thought it was a decent place. It was good I do not know what else to say. The one who accommodated me on the tour was fine and did a good job. I believe they got studio types, a one bedroom, and 2-bedroom. They have a small library, an exercise room, a movie room, and a dining room. The food was fine, and it was good.

Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg is upscale and expensive. The marketing director was just so lovely, and very welcoming, as were the nurses. I met a resident there who was very lovely, and very good humoured. It was very fancy, and I said to them, "Do the men have to wear jackets to dinner?" They said, "no,no,no." I said, "Are sweatpants allowed?" They said "Really, no one here wears sweatpants." The rooms were very lovely, they were either studios or 1-bedrooms, and 2-bedrooms. I think I only saw a 1-bedroom, and a studio. But again, very nice, with a kitchen bar in the room, and very attractive. Everything is beautifully appointed; it looks like a very beautiful resort. There were nurses there, they were doing their job, they have medical clerks, obviously they're taking care of people, but they did have a little library, a room with movies in it, they have a gym, and I even got mail from them of a calendar of all the things that were schedule for the month.

I liked Spring Arbor of Williamsburg; the best of the places I toured. It was terrific, the physical layout was very attractive, and the apartments were very welcoming. The marketing director was absolutely terrific, and she was even offering to cut some of the payments and costs. They had 1-bedroom suites, they had studios, they were all a nice size, and they were welcoming, and very pleasant. I saw them playing bingo, and doing pottery. It was very, very nice. It was upscale but not that upscale that my brother couldn't afford it.

Our tour at Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg was very well-executed. Tthe hostess was very nice and showed me everything there. I was just not interested because I was looking for something different than what they have to offer. However, the place was nice and clean, and the patrons we ran accross seemed to enjoy living there. It looks like there's a lot of freedom and movement. The room I saw was an apartment, a lady was there and she was very courteous to let us come in and look at her. It was very clean and neat, she was very gracious to let us look at her place, and it was very nice. We also walked through the activity room, we saw the health or workout equipment, I was shown where the movies where and the library. I was invited for a meal although I haven't had that opportunity yet. I didn't find anything negative whatsoever about the place.

My tour at Commonwealth Senior Living at Williamsburg was very good. Their facilities were not up to my standards. The location and age of the facilities just did not fit my appetite, and I prefer not to recommend them. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. We looked at the rooms where they had equipment in and the rooms were okay. The community itself was also okay, there's nothing wrong with them. They also provide 2 meals a day for the residents and you could come down and buy some extras or something if you want.
