The Birches at Harleysville was very nice. The person who gave me the tour was excellent. The apartments were very nice too. I saw quite a few of the rooms, and I thought everything was really good. They had game rooms, activity areas, a music room, and a movie room.

Arbour Square of Harleysville is a big facility. It's extremely clean, up to date, and attractive with plenty of space. The people are very friendly. The activity list is quite extensive, and they do a good job of addressing all different aspects of life. They have exercises, art classes, painting, drawing, lecturers or a pastor, and she has her own car and drives, so she's been going out and exploring the local area. She gets meals there.

My dad moved into The Birches at Arbour Square. Its a very nice, clean facility. The staff is very helpful. The dining area is very nice; they come and take your order, bring in what you want, and have options when you go there. They have activities planned every day.

The Birches had a program for Alzheimer's caregivers. I didn't meet any of the staff in any depth, but it seemed like a nice place. If it was been closer to me, I would've given it some more thought. My mother has pretty far advanced Alzheimer's. They had a music program that integrated music with activities. The rooms seemed nice. When I went there, I was supposed to have an appointment, but something got mixed up and the person that was going to give me the tour was not aware of that.
