Description of Oakmont of Las Vegas
Oakmont of Las Vegas is a retirement community offering seniors assisted and independent living in a resort-like setting. Caregivers are available 24/7 to assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming and medication management. An in-house nurse monitors the health needs of each resident and the community coordinates the services of physicians, podiatrists and therapists as needed.
Residents can remain physically active by joining exercise groups, such as yoga, strength and stretching and a walking club. A varied social and activity calendar offers a range of activities designed to engage seniors socially and intellectually. Residents can enjoy happy hour, poetry and art classes, games, the knitting club or volunteer at a local animal shelter. The community also arranges excursions to local attractions, themed parties and invites musicians into the community to perform for the residents.

I visited this facility
It was clean, and the staff was very friendly. It was spread out and had internal kind of apartments, but they also had outside apartments around a courtyard. The grounds were clean and had outdoor barbecues, which were very nice. They had crafts, games, church, excursions, and transportation to shopping and to the doctors.
