I visited this facility
I toured the Nouveau Marc in Kenner, and it was very nice. The staff was very nice. The apartment was very well-designed, the layout was very nice, and it was very roomy. For amenities, they had a common room, a large activity room, and an area where they had exercises.

We chose Laketown Village for my father because they had a vacant room right next to the dining room. You only have to walk about eight feet, which is a benefit for him because he can barely walk. They have an on-site retired chef, so they have great food. They were very friendly and cooperative during the visit. My father integrated right away in the first week, and he started doing their fun activities. They go out in the afternoons, they took them out for lunch, and he's been to bingo. It's very low cost.

I visited Nouveau Marc, but I didn't care for it. The food and the service in the dining room were not that good. It took an hour for me to get fed with the other people. The residents were constantly complaining, so I didn't like that place at all. The rooms were not great but OK.

My dad has been in Brookdale Kenner for a week. They've been wonderful and very helpful. I would recommend them. The director is wonderful, and my dad is enjoying it there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My mother-in-law stayed in Nouveau Marc for three years. The ground was open in the back with a short fence. It was nice and well kept, but it didn't have the ambience of the trees. During the day, they had musical entertainment. The rooms were clean. The staff had always been good. They would come in once a week to do the cleaning, but my mother-in-law was always finding reasons for people not to do their job.

Nouveau Marc was too expensive, but it was a very nice place. Everybody was in the beautiful dining room at the time I went. We looked at the one-bedroom apartment. The staff was very nice and very informative. I might consider them later on.

I visited this facility
Nouveau Marc was very nice and it was the one facility we would consider moving into. We saw a 1-bedroom and an efficiency room, they were spacious and very good. The dining room was really good and the meal preparations were good. The menu looked very good, too. They had several TV rooms and a courtyard, and they were all very nice. The staff was nice and the place was clean and well-maintained.

I really liked Nouveau Marc. It was very good. The staff members were very accommodating. They wanted me to stay for lunch, but I couldn't that day. The dining area and room were lovely. The bedroom has a dresser, a bed, and a nightstand. The living room had a couch, a chair, and a TV. It was nice. The community was very clean and up-to-date.

Kenner is about 20 miles from my home, so I didn't find Nouveau Marc as convenient as other communities. It was very clean and seemed very well managed. I had a very positive impression of the facility and the cleanliness of it. The lady who I spoke to seemed to be very well organized, efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous. I got a very positive impression, and it was in a nice neighborhood.
