Westbank Lighthouse is in the Old Aurora neighborhood of the Algiers area of New Orleans. Its convenient location is just a few steps from bus stops and several blocks from Village Aurora Shopping Center. This facility is also minutes from the city's Central Business District via the Crescent City Connection.
With a mission to provide exceptional care for the elderly in a safe, loving home, Westbank Lighthouse functions as a residential and respite senior home. This small state-licensed facility is owned and operated by two registered nurses and accepts long-term care insurance. Its in-home care providers are carefully screened and highly trained in caring for residents with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Residents are able to receive contracted medication supervision and 24-hour assistance when needed.
The homelike environment of Westbank Lighthouse gives residents a sense of comfort and a welcoming atmosphere. It consists of seven individual bedrooms, and the bathrooms are large and handicap-accessible. Three balanced meals are served daily, and there's a large sunroom and deck for relaxation.
