Manorcare looked very good and very clean, and the people were well dressed. My brother's stay was very good, and I would recommend it. The staff, the physical therapist, speech therapist, and recreational therapist were very good. The doctors and nurses were both good. The food looked good and well prepared.

My mother stayed at ManorCare of Palos Heights West. I didn't really like anything about it. They should be more on time with meals and make the residents do more. It's a fairly clean place. They didn't offer any other activities aside from rehab and eating. They serve three meals a day. They clean up the place decently, but it's nothing spectacular. All she did was sit in the wheelchair all day and go do a few exercises, eat, and go back to her room (that's about it). The staff was not bad, not fantastic, just average. Mom did come out a little better than when she went in, but she was there for almost three weeks and I would expect a bigger improvement than I saw. I think they let her go too soon.
