My parents moved into the Sonata Coconut Creek this weekend. So far, it's too early to tell, but it seems okay. It's pretty good so far. They have a large, nice, studio.. The staff is super nice so far. They have bingo and puzzles. The food is very good and the dining area is nice. There's a library, but not a lot of amenities.

Sonata Coconut Creek is a very clean and small community. It is small so you get to know everybody in it. The building where my parents were was only 40 apartments; I liked that about it. My parents' room was perfect for them. Sonata itself was wonderful. The food presentation was excellent. It was very good. However, the activities could use a little bit more help. Sometimes, they would have an activity, but it was not a strong activity for them. Other than that, it was OK. However, the person-in-charge was stealing money from some of the seniors. He stole money from my parents. My parents are not there any longer. When we were doing our last payment, the man took the payment. They didn't ask us for the money back because we showed proof that we paid it. That was the only thing about it. The other staff members were very nice and very kind. A lot of the aides had a heavy accent, so sometimes it was a little bit hard to understand what they were saying. Overall, the staff was very nice.

We're very happy with Sonata Coconut Creek. The staff has been wonderful and seems to care, and my mom couldn't be happier. She does chair aerobics and she enjoys when they have someone come in to play music. We're very happy with my mom's room, which is a large efficiency. It's all she needs. My mom looks forward to their meals, which just makes me so happy. The place is perfect for us because it's small and it really worked out for us.

We visited Sonata Coconut Creek and it's very nice. They were renovating, and were not yet finished, but the apartment we saw was very nice. The dining room was congenial, not really big, warm and cozy, but still had a modern feel.

My wife is in the memory care of Sonata. I was fairly impressed, and it's close to home. They take care of the residents, my wife is secure, and they have an alarm system, so none of the residents can get out. I can sign her out anytime I want. They have different activities like games, cards, coloring, and classes. The food is pretty good and well balanced.
