Atria El Camino Gardens

My mother is presently at Atria El Camino Gardens. It's a marvelous place for her, and she's 105. They treat her very very well. The caregivers are kind and considerate. The place is run like clockwork, and the administration is very responsive and caring. We have no complaints about anything that she receives. They've handled the pandemic marvelously, too, with minimal exposures, and only a few residents in their memory care unit came down with the virus. Sadly, some died, but not like what we hear about in other places. I think they've done a great job. They're very active; they have a lot of activities for the residents to participate in, which is great. She's in a studio apartment. She has her bathroom, a kind of an alcove for her bed, and a small living area. It also has a small kitchen with a refrigerator, a sink, cupboards, and no stove because there's no cooking in her apartment. She had a microwave, too, but she had it disconnected because of non-use. They have a lovely library and a full-service beauty parlor. They have two technicians there, and they do a good job. They have a craft room and a movie room, and there's plenty for them to do. They often have musicians to entertain and other social activities. Of course, it has been curtailed in recent years because of COVID. Right now, they've curtailed a lot of their dining activities because of COVID but before they shut down, we ate a lot with her in their dining room, and it's tremendous. My mother is not on a fixed income, but she can afford it there. The pricing is pretty much within the range of other places we've looked at.

My sister is in Atria El Camino Gardens. Everyone seems very professional and very polite. The staff is absolutely fabulous. They treated us very well. They fed me a meal, and it was excellent. She's in a chorus, and she's enjoying herself. Her room is fine, and it has a little bathroom. They have three different dining areas.

Atria El Camino Gardens was nicer than other facilities, but also more expensive than the other place I visited. It was open, spacious, and like a resort. The rooms were very nice, spacious, and well laid out for people in wheelchairs. They have plenty of things going on, like bus trips that take people to different places. I actually had a friend that was there, but he was out somewhere for the day. They have gardening for the residents, and they have multiple restaurants in different locations that are open at different hours.

What I loved about Atria El Camino Gardens, aside from that everyone was super nice, was the food. It was so good. Everybody was very kind, very attentive, and they bent over backward to do everything that my mom wanted. The dining area was lovely. They have multiple dining rooms and the formal dining room was like a restaurant. They have pretty much everything my parents wanted, including a quilting group. The whole facility was really beautiful. They liked the apartment and everything suited them pretty well.

My mother was at Atria El Camino Gardens. They've remodeled so it's much nicer now, and they're remodeling all the apartments as they become available. It was a very nice facility. The staff was excellent and very caring. The food and dining area were excellent. They have concerts, bible studies, movie nights, happy hour, dominoes, jeopardy games, and exercises. You name it, they could do it. We loved it. The price was reasonable for the area.

Altria El Camino Gardens is really good. The process of getting my mom put in was quick and smooth, and there weren't any issues. She's been in there for over a month now. They have a lot of activities, and it's always buzzing in there. There are three dining facilities fine dining, regular dining, and a grill, so there's lots of choices. There's a medical staff on each wing to help the residents out with showering, getting them dressed in the morning, cleaning the place, and so on. They're very supportive, and I would recommend them to anybody. The pricing is really good compared to what I have seen in other places and what they offer.
