I am/was a resident of this facility

I think it is beautiful here at Creekside Oaks. The atmosphere is lovely. The place is bright and clean. It makes you really feel at home. It's one of the best things I have done in my life. The staff members are very friendly, cordial, and they're here for your every need. They have fantastic food too. I haven't gotten into any activities yet because I just got settled in.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother is fine right now at Creekside Oaks. There's not an issue. They do a good job. It's a good place. They have different things going on. They have some games, they go to town most days of the week, they have a van, and they have movies. The food is fine to her. The staff is real good.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad has recently moved into Brookdale Folsom. It is definitely an older community. They said that 80 is the average age there, and I would say that that's accurate. It's very quiet and small but nice and clean. The people are very friendly and make it a point to learn the residents' names. They have like an ala carte plan. When my mom moves in, they will determine what kind of care that she needs. Both of them will be in the same apartment, and she will be the one receiving the assistance. We had a chance to have a meal there, and I would say food is good. The residents can choose from a good list of different foods. They have activities but my dad has not really participated in any of those. However, they have a variety of activities that seem to be age appropriate. I think this community is a good value for the money. My dad got in on a special, which will be up next May, so we will see then if he chooses to continue living there.

Oakmont of Folsom was not too far from where I live, and it had a bed available and was clean. The people are truly caregivers, provide 24-hour care, and are responsive to any requests. The food is amazing. I wouldn’t mind living there, so I thought that it was OK for my dad. They have a garden in the memory care section. My dad was a farmer who grew vegetables, so that was important to him. They have an aviary there, too, so you can watch birds. There's two activity directors, so something is going on every minute of every day. They’ll take a group out to a festival or something that’s going on in the community as well as do the usual inside activities, like music and games. They have an upright piano and a grand piano, too.

My mother has been in Brookdale since April. It's a clean and nice facility. Their pricing has hidden fees, and they don't seem to have enough staff. The rooms have few safety amenities.
