The Waterford at Virginia Beach was OK, but the people did not seem very happy. The staff seemed fine, but when they were playing bingo, everyone was concentrating on their bingo and when it was over everyone just got up and went to their rooms. There wasn't anyone socializing or actively talking, it just didn't have a friendly atmosphere. The rooms were OK. They didn't have a lot of windows, and it had a hotel feel to it. The building is real high with about four to five levels.
The Waterford at Virginia Beach was really nice and it had a beautiful courtyard. I thought it would be more stiff. It wasn't close to shopping, but it was definitely high class. If it was my mother going, she would like this place the best. It's like a five-star hotel. Everybody was lovely. Everybody did their job to perfection. It was more reserved, more formal, and it had the best presentation on the outside.
We got my aunt settled into The Waterford at Virginia Beach. So far, they have been absolutely gracious with letting us move her in. They have been so helpful. I am extremely pleased with them. It's a lovely and clean facility. The people I spoke and interacted with seemed to be really interested in making my aunt feel at home and welcome. My aunt says the food tastes really good, but there are a couple of things she doesn't really care for. They have a lot of activities for the residents.
We chose The Waterford at Virginia Beach for my parents. They were very friendly. They had the only floor plan that was appropriate. The prices were very competitive compared to the others. The staff was very friendly and very involved. I was very impressed with the tour. It was more economical than any other place that I found.
The Waterford at Virginia Beach was very lovely. The staff was very cordial, very warm, very friendly, and they answered our questions readily without hesitation. It had a homey atmosphere. I was impressed with their game room and the activities that they offered for the people that needed memory care.
My dad is at The Waterford at Virginia Beach. They're great, from the food, to the nurses, and to the staff. They're all great. The staff is everything that they should be. The community is very pleasant. The floors are clean and there are flowers. There are activities every day of the month. They have karaoke, mind games, and manicures for the women.
The Waterford at Virginia Beach was clean, and the staff was professional. We felt comfortable. They had bingo, which my husband likes to do. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. We saw the dining room, and everyone seemed to be enjoying it.
The Waterford at Virginia Beach was clean, nice, and well organized, and had caring staff. The hallway looked like the hallway of an apartment complex. The rooms were nice and comfortable. I liked the nurses' station on the corner to monitor the patients, the dining facility setup, and the activities. The residents and the lady at the front desk were wonderful. She knew them by name and had conversations with them. They had an air freshener throughout the whole floor and in the hallway, which gave it a homey comfortable feel from the moment you set foot in the facility. My father's going to feel comfortable there.
I visited The Waterford at Virginia Beach. Their rooms were nice, although a little smaller than those in comparable properties. The staff was conscientious and appeared to take a genuine interest in the wellbeing of their residents.
Facility offers shared living accommodations and single spaces. Clean facility with friendly staff. Delicious food and a wide variety on the menu. Clean facility without odor. Atrium with beautiful flowers and embellishments. Activities include playing games and outings with different residents. Very high turnover which may be problematic for residents.
My love one was at this facility for 6 months, he was paralyzed on one side & required assistance transferring. He fell within 12 hrs of moving in & broke his hip which I believe was the fault of the aids who were not responding timely to his needs, especially as a new resident. As he lived there longer I saw too well how he could have fallen in their care. The lack of care, response time & poor attitude of staff for him led to his failing health and ultimate death. I would NOT recommend Pacifica !!
