I visited Chancellor Gardens in Clearfield, and it was a very nice place. They're also the ones who sent me some food to take home, and it was really good; it was excellent. The staff was excellent. They went out of their way to make sure we saw everything. They showed us where the laundry was if we wanted to do our own, where all the rooms were, and what type of rooms they had. They also told us that if my husband's memory goes completely, we both can move into the memory care section so we won't have to be in separate rooms. They're very accommodating. Price is the only thing that's keeping me from going. It's laid out very nicely so that even if you're a little addled, you would not get lost. It's very easy to walk around and not get lost there.

Chancellor Gardens was clean and well maintained. They offered a lot of amenities, but they wanted a huge initial deposit of $1,800. I thought it was a little more expensive than the others, but they do offer a lot of extras. They have three on-site doctors and lots of activities for over 100 residents. What they had was really good. My mother was not there, but from what I saw, it looked like they were really good to their residents. It was clean and well maintained, and didn't smell bad. The dining area was beautiful, and their menu had a lot of choices. They said they had a good chef and a dietitian and it looked like they had a lot of options. What they offered was really impressive. The reason I didn't go there is because I felt like my mother would get lost. It was too big for her.

My mother is at Chancellor Gardens at Clearfield. I feel comfortable knowing that my mother is in a facility where there are caregivers that care about her. There are activities for her to participate in during the day, and I know she is kept clean and she is fed well. The caregivers are friendly and kind, and the facility is clean. There are activities for my mother, it's engaging. She gets the care that she needs and I'm satisfied with the decision that I made. I've eaten there and the food is very tasty. She even has more than one choice and the food serves her well. Compared to the other facilities in the area that I visited, the value is reasonable.

I loved Chancellor Gardens. I loved the feel, the atmosphere, and that is was bigger and larger than other facilities. There was a separate dining room for the family members to come visit and eat with their loved ones. There was a great dining room and they had a staff for your meals. They have daily exercise classes, they have a library, and fitness room, which was my favorite place. They take residents to stores, they have outings, and weekly barbeques, and they take them to the movies. The staff was very awesome and very informative.
