I was not impressed with Heritage Place. It smelled funny when we went into the different areas, the patients were wandering around aimlessly, and it was not clean. Elderlife Bridge Loan
Elderlife Financial Services offers bridge loans to seniors who are planning a move to an assisted living community. These loans are a temporary solution for those who don’t have the cash available to cover facility entrance fees, first month’s rent or other transitional costs. Upon approval, Elderlife can send the necessary funds directly to a seniors’s chosen care facility.
To qualify for a loan, seniors must meet minimum income and credit requirements. Elderlife allows up to six joint applicants to make the approval process easier.

Veterans Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit
The Aid and Attendance benefit provides veterans and their spouses with a pension top-up to help cover long-term care costs at home or in an assisted living facility.

At the Golden Years Senior Activity Center, senior citizens age 60 and older can participate in a variety of activities among their peers. The center is open Monday through Friday and offers programs that include tai chi, bingo, art classes and musical performances.
