I visited this facility

It was very cheery, and had a comfortable space. They showed a one-bedroom, and two-bedrooms, and they were spacious and clean. The staff members weren't very friendly, but they were focused on the people that they were helping. The courtyard was nice.

I visited this facility

I visited Paradise Springs. It was wonderful, but it was too independent for my mother-in-law. She needs more assisted living. The staff was very open and very nice. The place was very clean and very beautifully decorated. Everyone's happy there and it's very homey. They did exercise programs, they had a salon, and before COVID they did road trips. They had a very organized calendar.

I visited this facility

We went to Paradise Springs. All of their hallways were interior, but our big concern is they had one elevator. You have a 3-story facility with senior citizens, you have one elevator, and it has a maximum of 2 people at a time because of COVID regulations. In case of a fire, you can't use the elevator, so how are they going to evacuate 3 floors of senior citizens in wheelchairs and walkers? It was not a good idea. There was nobody using any of the common areas at all. Their front desk closes at like 7:30 at night, so there's no way you can get in at night, unless you have a key, and there's no one to screen you in, so that's a problem for us. If we talk to my aunt at 8:30 or 9:00 pm and she's not feeling well, we might go and check on her, but she would have to get dressed, go to the front door and let us in, and we didn't like that. The lady wasn't as engaging, it was not as good an interaction, and my aunt mentioned that. The staff certainly gave us the information. The only thing that anyone was using were rocking chairs at the front porch. They showed us the apartments, they were very small, and she wasn't happy with that, and the main thing was the kitchen was a kitchenette, and there's literally only room for you to choose a microwave or a toaster oven, and then your cabinet is full. It was just not adequate for her to prepare meals in her room at all. She's independent enough, she would rather provide her own meals part of the time, rather than eat what they provide 3 meals a day.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Autumn Grove Champions Cottage is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Finding a new community for a loved one is such a difficult decision, but Autumn Grove Champions immediately felt like home. Several other communities were visited by my family, but none compared to Autumn Grove. Leah, Ana, and all the wonderful caregivers feel like part of the family, now. I trust them all with the health, safety, and well-being of my mom. Dementia can be so heartbreaking for the family, but Autumn Grove eases the pain. I just cannot say enough positive comments about the people and the community. Like I always say...Autumn Grove Champions is a blessing, and the staff are my mom\'s angels.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother has been at Mercy Elderly for the past nine months. This place , the owners and staff were an answered prayer. The staff make your loved one feel very welcome and a part of family. The facility is always very clean and my mother is well-cared for. I can rest knowing that she is in great care on a daily basis. The owner is also very good at keeping me updated on any changes about my mom\'s health and well-being. Again, if you are looking for an assisted living for your loved one, I highly recommend Mercy Elderly Assisted Living for a loving and safe environment for them to live in.
