My wife's mother is a current resident of Juliette Fowler Communities. We know them really well, and they have a really long waiting list. My mother was there, my sister was there, and a cousin was there. My mother-in-law is just tickled pink that she has found it, and that she was able to get in. She loves it there, she loves the people, she loves the services, and they have taken really good care of her. She is ninety-nine years old and still kicking butt. She has a one-bedroom, one-bath. The layout is for a single or a couple, and it is good. You don't really hear your neighbors unless they bang on the wall to get help, which doesn't happen too often. They have regular individual apartments, assisted apartments, and fully assisted apartments. They mainly serve lunches, but they have a service where for $5 they will deliver meals to your door. She's loving the meals down there, and she also loves the laundry room. They have a TV room on each floor, they have puzzles and activities, and they take them to stores and doctors appointments. They don't put salt and stuff on their food, and so it's kind of bland, but it's good and healthy stuff.

Whiterock Court was very nice and very clean. A lot of things seemed to be upgraded there. The staff was really great. If I were going to choose, I'd probably have chosen that one if I could afford it, because it just seemed like the nicest one. I saw three different apartments, and they were all very nice with granite countertops and things like that. They had an exercise room, a puzzle room, a really nice kitchen area, and a big dining hall. The facility was clean, well maintained and upgraded.

I visited Whiterock Court in early January and noticed that the residents were more mobile there and my grandfather is not. He is not as mobile or as coherent as the residents there, and he has dementia. Knowing his current state of mobility, they weren't willing to accommodate him. As far as meals go at Whiterock Court, they are delivering those due to COVID. But outside of COVID, they won't be delivering those. I asked them, "If my grandfather is unable to go get his stuff. Is there an option for the meals and get them delivered?" And they were not accommodating with that. So, we didn't want to put him somewhere where he needs to be more mobile than he is right now without accommodations. The rooms were nice. It's for an older generation, so it might be very old fashioned but they were nice, clean, well-kept, and they are in good condition overall. The staff members that I met were decently new, so I'm not sure if they didn't really know how to be properly accommodating. So I wouldn't say that they're the most accommodating if your parent or grandparents have special needs. They have a salon but we weren't that interested in looking at the amenities when I saw how not accommodating they were. We just kind of lost interest at that point.

My mother-in-law is moving into Whiterock Court. I didn't attend the virtual tour, but my wife did, and they were pleased with it. I've spoken to all of the staff members. It seemed clean, it seemed to be in a nice part of town, I thought the price made sense, and the staff was great. They told us generally what's going on with in the facility with COVID and they shared everything that we felt we needed to know. I'm satisfied with it. My mother-in-law is very excited. We have nothing but positive things to say.

I like it. It's a great place. The food is awesome, and there are a lot of activities available. They have golf on a putting green once a week, a movie night, and beanbag baseball. Everything is great here.
