The Waterford at Baytown assisted living is beautiful and really nice, but it just seemed kind of lonely to me. The tour was very nice and the lady who took us on the tour was nice. The building was all brand new, very nice, and very clean inside. So were the rooms. Everything I saw there was really good. They have little apartments with a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom and living room combined; they were small. They have exercise programs every day, parties and barbeques outside, entertainment, cards, dominoes, games, and puzzles. They have a TV and movie room, and they have several amenities.
I like The Waterford at Baytown, but my mother doesn't like the food there. Activities are pretty good. They play card games and dominos, and they've got a movie theater. She likes some off the staff, some of them she doesn't. Her room is real small and it costs me $4500 a month, which is way too much money. It's a nice facility. They've got a washer and dryer and transportation, and they take them out twice a week.
The Waterford at Baytown smelled nice in the hallways, which is a relief. It's fairly nice and the people that I've met were very forthcoming, friendly, and helpful. The grounds looked fine. The apartments were a little small, but they're comfortable for the patients. I didn't see anything wrong with anything like trash or anything like that.
I toured The Waterford at Baytown. The experience was very good. It seemed like a nice place with nice people. The staff took me through the whole facility. They had a community room and a dining room, and I was impressed that they had so many things in one place. They had independent living, assisted living, and a memory care all on one site. If I had to put my wife into assisted living, then later on into the memory care, she wouldn’t have to move to a new location.
The Waterford at Baytown, the name speaks for itself. This is almost a retirement resort. This place is very nice, clean, and relaxing. Every staff member that I passed smiled and said hello and I was even offered lunch. I had to decline, but it looked delicious. I looked at the senior activity calendar and spoke with some of the residents. I really enjoyed my visit and I definitely give the Waterford an A!
