I visited this facility

My mom used the rehab at St John Neumann. They have activities and you can ask people questions about your loved ones. There were people around who could assist you and they do everything in their power to make the stay there comfortable for the patients and their families. They treated my mom the way residents are supposed to be treated. I had no complaints about them.

I visited this facility

I visited Cathedral Village, and that’s where I want to go. They’re very good, they fit my requirements, and I can go anywhere. The apartment is very large, and I’m getting more space for the same amount of money. The facilities are nice, the grounds are nice, I had meals there, and the meals were very good. The rooms are very nice. One thing they do, when you move in there, they tear the apartment that you're move into apart and they rebuild it to your liking. They have all kinds of activities going on and trips to New York or other cities. The people are extremely friendly, not just the staff, but the residents as well.

My mother stayed at Wesley Enhanced Living Burholme for two weeks for respite care. They were pretty good, and the food was good. They were understaffed. I don't think most of my complaints were heard well. One day they gave my mother somebody else's medication, and they claimed that they had resolved that by letting go of the girl who had done it. They don't have nurses on medication, and I don't approve of that because I think one should always be the one giving medication because they're qualified. They don't have name tags on people so how can you be positive that you're giving somebody the right medication? The food and activities were very good.

My grandmother is doing very well in Deer Meadows. It's a nice and clean place, the food is good, and her apartment is very nice. The place is also safe and handicapped-accessible, which is good considering that most senior places in this area are not. She still has her freedom, but they always keep an eye out for her. They have bingo, different games, exercise classes in the mornings, trips to the local mall, and church on Sundays. The staff is nice and seems to know her as a person, not just some random woman walking the halls. One of the administrators walked by and called her by her name which is nice. The place doesn't feel like a facility when you walk in, and after being in different facilities, I feel that Deer Meadows looks homier. It's decorated very nice, and the hallway where she lives looks more like a hotel than an assisted living apartment. I feel like we got the best bang for our buck there compared to other places.
