Cedar Crest Alzheimer's Special Care Center was nice, but it was dark, and my mother is a really bright and sunny person. The rooms were fine, and the staff was very nice. They were doing puzzles and things, but they were not as engaged as the other place. They had a little patio.

My friend and her husband moved into Prestige Senior Living Riverwood and she loves it. It's absolutely wonderful and it's got everything they want. It's just perfect for them. Their little apartment is about 600 square feet with tons of storage. The people are incredibly nice. It's got all the amenities they could want. The activities are great and perfect for them, and they have plenty. They go on excursions, they take them to the grocery store if they need it, and they handle everything very nicely. They love the food. There's a beautiful entryway in the front and you go into a short lobby area. The dining room has two stories of glass all around it and it looks out over a forest, so it's just beautiful. I really like it and my friends are happy there. The staff is amazing and I've never seen one frown. It was the best value.

My father stayed for while at Cedar Crest. I thought they did a great job. They were very diligent in their jobs. The people were very helpful and friendly. If I have to go to a facility, I would definitely go to that one. They have an outdoor area where the people can go outside safely. They have a TV room, the dining area is very nice, and they have all kinds of program for the residents. They have a bus that can take residents on little journeys. They have painting classes, and reading classes. However, they were not set up to take care of violent people, and they do not have enough staff. It's an older home, but it's very comfortable, everything is clean and safe for the people that are there.
