The Homestead of Owasso was very nice, clean, and homey. The people were very nice. My daughter's father-in-law was there because of Alzheimer's. They had activities that they did with them that really seemed to help him a lot. He paced, but he had things to do too because they got him involved. I liked the community a lot. He died there in December, and they were with us right up to the end. It was very good. The staff was very nice and very friendly. As a matter of fact, a couple of the nurses came to his funeral.

Brookdale Owasso is mediocre. It's like a normal nursing home. It smells like one and looks like one. They should have brighter colors and maybe some deodorizer. They serve three meals a day. When we went there, nobody seemed to know that we had an appointment and the person that normally takes people around wasn't even there. They weren't equipped to do what they needed to do.

My visit to Brookdale Owasso was very good, the place was very good. But they say they only offer assisted living but I don't need any assistance yet so we didn't stay very long. We walked by some of their amenities and they were nice. The staff was very good, polite and helpful. The rooms that they showed us were studios.
