Ohio retirement communities allow residents to live in close proximity to a number of different attractions and amenities. The state, in which fourteen percent of residents are over the age of sixty-five, is home to a variety of fun activities such as the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal, the North Chagrin Reservation and the Cincinnati Art Museum. Residents living in the state can also enjoy day trips to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and the Franklin Park Conservatory.
In Ohio retirement communities residents are generally in good health and don’t require help with basic tasks, such as grooming or changing clothes. They go about their day independently, but if they need assistance in a medical emergency, staff members are available twenty-four hours per day. There are also a number of other services available for residents living in a retirement community such as housekeeping and meals. Those with mobility issues, memory problems, such as dementia, and those who need help with tasks like bathing, would require the type of care received at nursing homes, care homes, memory care facilities and assisted living facilities.
