My mother is in Brighton Gardens of Greensboro. It's very caring, and the staff is very attentive and interactive with the residents. She enjoys all of the activities, like music, trivia, and exercise classes. She said the food is good. Her room is beautiful. It has a separate living room, and it's freshly painted with fresh carpet. She has granite countertops in her kitchenette. The facility location is excellent and quiet but very close to shopping and a public library. Their grounds are very nice, well maintained, and attractive. It's a very nice facility.
Brighton Gardens of Greensboro was clean, well-maintained, and the people are quite personable. The rooms were reasonable. It's not as homey as I was looking for though.
My parents moved into Brighton Gardens. It was a smaller community, it was very clean, and everybody was open and friendly. They had 1-bedroom apartments and single rooms. They’ve done arts and crafts, book clubs, and trivia and memory games. They have walking exercises. My parents really enjoyed it, and they thought the food was really good.
Brighton Gardens impressed me. The tour was very good and everything was clean. The residents appeared happy. They had a lot of activities planned, and I got to see the residents involved in those activities and during mealtime. The food and living conditions looked good. There seemed to be a lot of employees there. It was decorated nice. The location and grounds were good. They had a walking path and walking group for the residents. I saw that they were having a birthday for one of the residents who was turning 100. They had matching tablecloths, nice place settings, and a vase of flowers on each table. It almost looked like a restaurant. The people looked and smiled at us. They were having a conversation while they were eating, and I saw a lot of employees.
I enjoyed Brighton Gardens of Greensboro as much as the other place I visited. There are a couple of people who live there that my husband would know, so it would be like having friends there already. I saw a physical therapist working with one person and another therapist who was working. I stopped to speak with her and with a gentleman on that floor. He was talking about the facility and how they treat their residents on that particular wing, which just had memory loss people and what I was interested in. It seemed like I could get along with the staff. Everybody was so friendly and it didn’t seem like they were doing it because they had me there. I think it’s just the way they are.
