I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

My father lived at Maplewood place for 3 Months. He isn't a joiner and decided to move him back to his house . A few weeks before he was to move home he had a bad fall. He had not been feeling well that week and I was told he was dehydrated and needed to drink by the head nurse who knew about his fall.Meanwhile he had hit his head and had a brain bleed that we didn't know about. I left him around 4 that day. I received a call at 6 the next morning saying he had fallen again but he was fine. I knew something was wrong. Got there around 8 am and saw this nurse in the hallway. She told me she checked in and he was resting in his chair. As soon as I walked in I smelled urine, walked over to my dad who was in the same clothes as yesterday, the bed was still made up. He begged me to get him to the hospital! I ran to the front desk and told them to call 911. This nurse came in and told me we could call an ambulance if I wanted to but DIDNT NEED to call 911. I remember just screaming at her to call 911. Winchester hospital told me if we hadn't got him there when we did he would have died. HE WAS NEVER CHECKED THAT NIGHT . That was the main reason he went to Assisted living so we didn't have to worry about him at night. I just felt this nurse had an attitude from day one . That being said, everybody else was wonderful.
