My father is in Brookdale Hoffman Estates. It's very good, and so far, I have no complaint. I get very frequent updates. Everyone has been very good with communicating and keeping me informed of what's going on. The first week he moved in, we could visit him two times, and then after that, it's once a week, so I have seen his apartment several times. It's very clean, and he is very comfortable. They have a game room, an exercise room, a barber shop, a courtyard, and a walking path.

I visited Brookdale Hoffman Estates, and I could tell visually that it's not a place I would feel comfortable having my parents. It's very large, I can tell it had been a hotel before it was converted to a senior living facility, therefore the rooms are very small, and there's absolutely no closet space at all. I think it's an excessive amount of money to spend for basically a hotel room. The dining room looked okay, there's wasn't anything going on when I was there, but they had an activities room, and a beauty parlor. The staff did a fine job when he toured me around.

Brookdale Hoffman Estates is spectacular, and we've had a great experience so far. The staff is very friendly, nice, and attentive. The room we have for my mom is perfect for her, and she just moved in there. The food is very good, and my mom loves it. She has gone to bingo. It's pretty comparable and a good deal for the money.
