I am a friend or relative of a current/past residentReview of Cherry Oak Active Senior Living Residence

The place has no one watching the dementia patients. Theres nothing for them to do. the place is dirty no staff, the rooms need serious cleaning and work done. I would not put a person I dislike in this facility. It is only about the money, not about the patient and that is SAD. Worse mistake ever taking a loved one there. Could not wait till they got out of there.

My sister was in here. It was very nice, it was kept very clean, the staff was very nice, and the food was good. They had people that came in and did exercises, they had a hairdresser, they had trivia games, they had a lot of board games, card games, and they took people out for lunch and to the casino. The room was very nice. She had a studio and it had ample space, a separate bathroom, full bath, and it had a little kitchen area where you keep a microwave and a coffee pot. It had a nice closet space.

It was very nice. The clients were extremely happy and enjoying themselves. They were encouraged to be involved and felt they were treated very nicely. The staff was wonderful. It seemed to be a very comfortable environment. The cost seemed to be pretty good. The people were very goo and involved. They had a lot of different activities. The place wasn't too big to get lost in, but it had space and places to go to indoors. Also, the sales coordinator and the director of bringing people in spent a lot of time with us to make sure we knew about their ethics and plans, and we were really pleased. It's a very worthwhile and promising place. The food tasted good and was properly done. There were good choices, and the dining room was open all day long. The people eating were enjoying themselves. They aimed to please, and the service pushed it over to the top. The place wasn't new, but they had facilities to keep people active. They were doing exercises, people were in the art room, playing cards, and doing other activities that would make the day pleasant.
