I chose Jacob\'s tender Loving Care after touring their facility. My mother has severe arthritis in her hips and we could no longer properly care for her. Here\'s why I chose them. I liked that it\'s a small facility with 24/7 nurse and caring staff. It\'s a clean facility, it doesn\'t have that institutionalized smell. We had a private furnished room with closet. All we had to bring were her clothes and personal items. Great food and they made adjustments to suit my mother\'s likes. Very helpful with getting her medications transferred and delivered to her. Liberal visiting hours. They also helped arrange for hospice care. They are easy to work with and answered all our questions and concerns.

It was very nice, and I felt like I could live there. David was wonderful and very patient with us. There weren't any activities when I visited there in the morning, but before I had seen them eating lunch. They have a beauty parlor, a fitness room, and a bingo room. They pick you up and take you to shopping places, and to your doctor. They have different activities outside, as well as movie nights. Their dining room is nice, and they have room services if you need it, and they offer different things if you don't like what's on the menu.

It is new, modern, and the staff is excellent. A wealthy Jewish acquaintance has been there for five years without a single complaint. My mom has Alzheimer's, but the assisted living is in another building so we didn't choose that place. They have their activities on a calendar, and seemed to have the same thing as other places, like exercising, movie nights, and so on. There's not really a whole lot going on. It's geared toward the Jewish community. The place is updated and everything was beautiful. They really live up to their name.
