It is nothing fancy. It is a simple place, but it feels like home. All the people that work there care about the people that live there. I know that for a fact because my mom raves about the people there. Right now, due to COVID 19, they have just started getting the people seated in the dining room area. They have to sit by themselves at the tables because there should be social distancing. They have a meal every day and if the people don't like the meal, they can get a sandwich or something else made. My mom likes the food. Everybody has to get their temperature checked, and everybody has to wear a mask. Before COVID, they usually have a buffet set up where they give the food to the people. They also have a private dining room. If you have family over for birthday parties or a little get-togethers, you can have that small room and hold maybe about 20 people or so, which is really nice. The reason I picked this place is because we have to stay within our budget. There is a fixed rate and it only goes up like two percent every year. My mom's room is a nice size. She has a little kitchenette area and a nice size bathroom with a walk-in, flat shower. It is a simple house, but it is the quality of care that you're getting. Mom really likes the people. She likes the nurses, she likes the staff, and everybody likes her. She feels comfortable. It is like a home setting. They used to have a lot of activities before COVID. They have activities like bowling in the hallway, they have people making little bird houses and bird feeders, and this past weekend they just celebrated 101 days without COVID in the place, which is awesome. They really thrive on making sure that everybody is safe.

I toured and they had kitchenettes in the rooms and that was very nice. The staff member was a nice lady, and she knew what she was doing. It wasn't the right place for my mom; I knew that. The only outdoor area they had was an indoor courtyard. It's too small, and they allow the residents to smoke there. My mother likes the outdoors and she doesn't like smoking, so she would not be able to enjoy the outdoors there.
