I moved in, and it's absolutely wonderful. I haven't met anybody who is not pleasant, and they're very affable. I have a studio apartment with a kitchen and a bath. They have different studios, on-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. They cook all the meals, and they gave us a calendar of activities. They have an exercise room, a beauty salon, a little general store, and a room with a pool table. It's a marvelous experience.

They offer everything I'm interested in. The staff is very nice and everybody was very friendly. The grounds were very attractive and the location is okay and it's easy to get to. The 1-bedroom I saw was very attractive which is over 700 square feet which is excellent.

My parents will be moving into The Village at Gainesville. They're going to have their own apartment, and people will be coming in to do cleaning and yard work. The staff member that I met there was very nice. I also met their marketing person, and their nurse, and they were real nice. The marketing person was very patient with my mother and step-father about getting into the place. It's located on a street that runs to the west of Santa Fe Community College and there's a major entrance and exit, so the traffic is horrific in the afternoons. Their apartment is a 2-bedroom and 2-bath that's 1,200 square feet. The pricing is more expensive than other places, and for what you get it's pretty high.

Oak Hammock at the University of Florida was a wonderful place. If you're rich, you can go to this place. The place was nice and bright, and their residents were all decent looking. The apartments were a nice size and well appointed. The villas were also a nice size. They have a lap pool and a park. We were able to try the food and it was OK. They also have full access to the University of Florida for things like their cultural events.

My father-in-law has been at Gainesville Health Care Center for about a month and a half. It's been wonderful and everybody's been nice to me. He has his own private room and he gets physical therapy. There's a doctor and nurses, and visitors can come 24/7. My father-in-law always likes the food and they have so many activities available.

My mother lived at this facility for over a year and I loved it for her. Before she wasn't a really happy person at the last facility I had her in but once I put her in Plantation Oaks she was always in a great mood. Always !!! My mom passed away on August 26, 2017 due to complications from a stroke. When first admitted in the hospital she was worried about all her friends and wanted to go back. I couldn't ask for a better or cleaner place to have taken my mom to before she passed. THANK YOU !!!!

Hunter's Crossing Place was wonderful and I couldn't have asked for a better tour. It was great. They were extremely accommodating, they answered all the questions that I had, and the patients mingled with the staff. We did dinner, the residents were eating, and the food looked great. I was impressed with the activities. They had a beautiful atrium and they have a huge garden. They have sing-alongs where people come in and provide music, and the residents can play piano, or any instrument they're skilled in.

My dad's needs are met here. Their rooms are very upscale. I ate there once. It was nice food, but it wasn't very seasoned. I think they do that for a reason though. Activities are very nice. Every single day of the week, they have wonderful activities. They have a room where residents can play cards, they have a pool room, and an activities room. They have a director that takes care of all the activities. Amenities are great too. They have a drugstore and a barbershop. They provide free snacks, free coffee, and free fruits everyday. They clean the rooms and they have a laundry facility.

Atrium at Gainesville was my favorite of all the ones I have seen so far. I liked the apartments. It's a slightly older building but very well maintained. The units were larger than a lot of the other units we've looked at in other facilities. It just has very nice apartments and I liked the fact that they had full kitchens and a dishwasher. The dining area was very nice and had restaurant-quality service. The food was very good and seasoned without being overly seasoned. The only thing I didn't like about the facility was that because I was traveling, I had my dog with me, and I asked if I could leave the dog in the little front entryway in his crate inside the second doorway where it would be cooler, and they aren't willing to accommodate me. Their solution was they'd take his crate and put it in a shade under a tree out in the parking lot so every time we would go around on the tour and I could see a window, I would rush to it to make sure the dog was still OK. That was the only downside.
