My mother-in-law is in Marymount Villa. The community is OK, but it seems that they had a lot of recent residents come in so there wasn't very much personalization. For the first couple of weeks there we were struggling with the communication, like checking in on her progress and how she's doing. Also, we were trying to figure out who the right person was to direct those questions to. But other than that, she's getting her medications, meals, and things like that. It's very secure and the staff is very friendly, so we like all of that. They also have daily activities for the residents.
This facility was visited several times over several months to determine if it was appropriate for a client. We had two meals and both were less than satisfactory - visually unappealing/bland and an absence of fresh fruit or vegetables. Perhaps this was a fluke, but that did not settle well for my client. Apartments were fine, however, the hallways and elevator landings seemed narrow or too cluttered and crazy carpet patterns were difficult for my client to secure his feet. He felt there may be an issue with staff as he had difficulty understanding the dining room waiters describing the food choices. A pleasant facility in a good location, with limited parking for guests.
