My mother has moved into Brookdale Monrovia, and it's been very good. They have Bingo, chair exercises, speakers come in, chair volleyball, field trips, a driver who takes them to and from appointments, a beauty salon on-site, and parking if they have a car. I haven't met a staff that's not friendly and accommodating. They have two choices of meals and a dessert, and they have them plated when you walk in, so you can see what they are. If you don't want one of those two things by the time you walk in, you can choose from the menu, and it's restaurant style. They make delicious cookies, too. She likes the activities. Her apartment is small, but it has a nice layout, a walk-in closet, and they have emergency cords in every room. It's a great value.

I love the look of Brookdale Monrovia from the outside. The inside is fine, too. I have only been here for three days. I have a one-bedroom. My living room has two nice windows with lots of lights. I have a big walk-in closet and a small kitchenette. There is no cooking but there is a sink and a place for microwave. They totally re-upgraded and refurbished it. It's very nice. The staff members are very helpful, very friendly and very willing to do whatever. Food is also good. They have exercises every morning, games and outings, bingo and cards. It seems like they're busy all the time; I haven't been able to get involved because I'm still transitioning, but everybody looks like they're having a good time. This community is great. In comparison to others, I think their price is competitive.
