The best way to get to know a community is by scheduling a tour. See the facilities, meet the staff and residents, and get a feel first hand what it's like to live at Ballard Landmark Assisted Living.

Since I use reviews for my research on different services and products I felt obligated to write my opinion on Ballard Landmark. Life as it moves forward and my mom’s situation led me in my search for assisted living in the Seattle area. A few months ago, I was going to use one of the many senior care companies to assist with my search until I came upon a facebook picture of a person named Betty Ballard. Further reading of this profile it was speaking of Ballard Landmark, a senior community in the heart of its namesake. The next day I called and spoke with the receptionist and they connected me with Mindy who is the marketing director. She immediately understood my concerns and calmed my fears which seemed overwhelming at that time. She gave me enough information so that I could investigate further and weigh my options regarding neighboring senior communities and alternative services. A few weeks later and after consulting my siblings, we made an appointment with Mindy at Ballard Landmark. About an hour into our tour and meeting a few current residents my mom made the decision that this would be her home. It’s been over a month and mom is happy! Thanks to everyone we spoke with at Ballard Landmark who made this decision easy. With much appreciation. Beth
Dear Beth, Thank you so much for your kind words and taking the time to provide feedback on your experience. We are fortunate to be able to provide support and services to families during their time of need. We are also fortunate to have experienced and compassionate professionals-such as Mindy and the whole team at the Ballard Landmark-who are committed to providing a First Class experience for residents and family members. Please continue to provide feedback on how we are doing, to the team at the Landmark, as we seek to continually improve our residents'experience. Kind regards, Neil Edwards
The Ballard Landmark is located on a busy street with a shared parking area with a Health Club. The back of the building is on a lovely quiet street that on Sundays becomes part of a 3 block farmers market. The saltwater swimming pool area is heated and feels like a sauna so no cold shivers when you get out of the water. They even have a lift for the residents that use a wheelchair. The community recently removed their age requirements because of the number of disabled persons that were not seniors wanting to move into the community. I went for Mardi Gras and they had a live fais deaux deaux band and dancing. I was very impressed with a young man who was a resident and completely blind, that did not stop him from dancing with another resident though. The apartments all come with a stackable washer and dryer. The views south toward the Ballard locks was not stupendous, but OK. The residents were very friendly and I was impressed with their menu posting outside the "restaurant" on a small chalkboard. It looked like a fancy Parisian restaurant with Prix-Fixe dining. The community is private pay only. Because of the location on a bus route, the availability of parking, the quiet back street with restaurants and brick a brak shops, the Sunday Farmers Market behind the building, and the closeness to the Ballard Locks, I was advised that the community was waitlist only to get in. Very very pricey community and worth every penny.
Excellent location. Very convenient for my family to visit. Good choice of activities and entertainment programs. I liked the facility it is very neat and well taken care of.
The location is excellent for older adults who love to keep active with walking, shopping and accessing services all within a short distance of this community. The building is bright and pleasant, and so are the staff and residents.
