I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

After my dad had an accident and had to have some surgery done, my mother who has dementia needed a place to stay immediately. After looking around on the Internet, we found Cardinal Cottage’s and called them, That very night they arranged a wheelchair van to take mom down to their home. They were so calming and loving to mom, The meals that were made looked so good, and mom would eat every bit! They would talk to mom every day, even though mom was non verbal. They made her smile and cared for her so well. She lived there about a year before she passed recently. When we stopped by there today to bring them some flowers, there were tears and hugs and they told us that because mom was their mom too, we were their sisters - (cue more tears) If you need a home for your loved one, please contact them and plan a visit to see the home and to see the wonderful loving women who took such good care of mom. Compared to other places in the area, this one was definitely a winner And I thank God every day that we were able to find such a family style home for mom.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Had a relative here recently, Linden Grove is out of compliance with state requirements. Administrators and Director of Nursing will not talk to you even when you have a serious concern about the health of a patient. Communication is not good and no one at any level ever returns phone calls at this facility. They do not properly take care for wounds or surgical sites which has resulted in infection and even worse outcomes. Even though clothing is marked with the patients names, they lose entire wardrobes. My heart breaks for the Nursing and rehab staff there that genuinely do care for their patients. Sad that these wonderful people have to work under leadership that seems to only care about putting bodies in beds. This facility desperately needs a leadership overhaul.

My dad moved into Willow Gardens, it’s beautiful, and he really likes it there. The staff and residents are very kind. It was a good fit for him, they’re very accommodating, and the food for the average person is wonderful. However, my dad is a vegetarian, so his food choices were limited. I stayed with him for a whole week, they were very nice, I stayed in his room, and they let me eat for nothing every night. I though the food was delicious. They had bean bag softball, which was cute, they play cards, games, and a bus takes them on a day tour.

My mother is at Willow Gardens. It's very clean, very bright, very cheery, very well maintained, and there's exceptionally nice people there. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. She likes the food and their menu choices. She is happy with the dining facility and the food. The activities and the amenities are all good. She's very happy there.

I visited this facility

I visited Willow Gardens, and I thought the people that I met were very friendly. The unit I saw was quite nice. It's independent living, and they have people you can hire for assistance. The staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly.

I visited this facility

Brookdale Puyallup was a wonderful place and would have accommodated my mother-in-law's needs. I was thoroughly impressed with the place, the people, and the administration.

Located at the base of Mt. Rainier, the city of Puyallup is just 10 miles inland from neighboring Tacoma and only a 30-minute drive south of Seattle.

Formerly a farming community known for its berries and flowers, Puyallup has blossomed into a regional center of commerce for East Pierce County. Puyallup assisted living seniors are provided with numerous shopping, dining and recreational activities to suit their active lifestyles.

Puyallup Activities

If the activities provided at a Puyallup assisted living community aren’t enough, seniors may take advantage of the classes and programs offered by the Puyallup Recreation Center . Many assisted living seniors also head over to South Hill Mall in Puyallup’s South Hill neighborhood. The Mall is home to a six-screen Regal Cinemas, several prominent restaurant chains, and big box retailers such as Target, Macy’s, JCPenny and Sears.
