Meadowstone Place is an active Dallas retirement community nestled in the Preston Hollow neighborhood among 50-year-old live oaks. We are unique in many ways. I am/was a resident of this facility
I would give Meadowstone Place a ten. I hate to leave, but its because I need to be close to family, or I would never leave. The staff is great. They have two chefs that are absolutely wonderful, and they offer cleaning if you need it. Theres always somebody there to say, Can I help you with that? Its just very friendly and very nice. They have cards, they do crafts, they bring outside entertainment, they have lectures, food demonstrations, and they go places like the symphony, shopping center, and movies. They also have in-house movies that are always excellent. Anything you want to do, if you just tell them, they try to get those things in their activities if they're possible. They usually try to get you a good rate, like to go the movies, concerts, or plays. Ive taken advantage of all those and Im so pleased. They take you to doctors' appointments and I cant sing their praises enough.

I visited this facility
Meadowstone Place had extremely spacious apartments and activities. They had people that were very mobile there, which I really liked. They had a swimming pool, areas where you could just sit out and chat, and a walking trail through the different apartments. These were set up more like independent apartments. The staff was excellent. Some of their stuff was a la carte and you could do a meal plan. It's a buy-in, and there's an initial outlay to get in. The facility was excellent.

One minor correction, we do have an upfront community fee (as most senior living communities do), however we are not a buy-in which often requires a huge outlay of money starting at $250,000 and up!
