I visited this facilityReview of Discovery Village At Southlake (Bldg 2)

It was nice. They had more floor plans for assisted living level of care. All of them had some sort of view. There were three different floor plans and a 1-bedroom that we could choose from. They seemed to have a nice dining area. The staff who showed me around was very professional.

My mother-in-law is in Landing at Watermere. We chose it because it is close to us, and they have extended care, which she needs. They have all kinds of activities. They have people come in and play some music. They have cook outs. They have different kinds of entertainments. They can go on a bus and go places, but she cannot do that. There are all kinds of activities going on daily. However, there have been some problems with the room that she is in. The door railing falls off. For paying $6,000, that should not happen. The little refrigerator is frozen, and that should not happen. They have trouble with the toilet, and that should not happen. Now, they have trouble with the air-conditioning, and that should not happen. However, it is beautiful, clean, and nice. The staff seems to be friendly and helpful. They take her to the doctor's appointments. There is also a doctor on staff. They are serving all 3 meals.

I loved Landing at Watermere, but it was way out of our price range. You have to have two oil wells to live there. The staff was very friendly and professional. It's very elegant.
