Brookdale New Braunfels

We liked Brookdale New Braunfels. It was our second choice. The rooms were a good size, and the layout of the facility was nice. There were lots of people engaged; they weren't just in their rooms. We saw them out and about doing activities. One time they were watching a movie and another time the book club was having a discussion. The staff was very nice.

Brookdale New Braunfels has a very nice, homey feel. Everybody is very nice, including the residents and workers. My dad really likes it. It has good food. He's in a one-bedroom apartment that is very well set-up, but they also have smaller and larger rooms. They play bingo, dominoes, men's and women's activities, and brain-teases. Musicians come in to play. They have a theme every month; this month, it's '60s rock 'n' roll. Every time I go to visit, a lot of them are always participating in the activities. It's a little pricey, but we're happy with it. It was our first choice.

I visited Brookdale, but it was too expensive. The room was just basic, like a studio, with one room except for the bathroom which was separate. They had activities, like different games and a media room where they could watch movies. The dining area was pretty large. The staff seemed good, polite, and friendly. It was good. I just thought it was a little pricey.

My father's wife is in Brookdale New Braunfels. Her room is small and it's too small to put both of them there. They have a dining room and a beauty shop, but she doesn't care for the food. She likes the salon and they have activities. I like the staff. They've always been ready to meet with us, didn't put us on hold, they're very sweet people, and they're trying very hard to make it a good experience.

Brookdale New Braunfels is small, a little older, and the people who lived there seemed to know one another. The staff was very knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and she was interacting with the people there in a really genuine manner.

Brookdale New Braunfels was an older place. It's small and everything just kind of dumps into one room. The lady that I was supposed to meet with was busy, so they had one of the staff members take me on the tour, then the manager came up met with me. There were a lot of people just sitting around and some were playing a game. It was almost mealtime and I didn't really observe a lot of interaction.
