Heartis Longview has an exceptional menu of choice daily by offering 7 entree items to choose from for lunch and dinner. Our menu selection ranges from healthy to always offering our residents a choice of southern cooking; this includes the favorite for many, cornbread and buttermilk!

Heartis Longview is located approximately 4 miles from the Longview Mall and a quarter mile to the city walking trail. However, Heartis has a beautiful water feature that our residents enjoy daily whether walking the property or enjoying catch and release from their own pond.

Assisted Living residents are welcome to come and go as they wish. They are quite independent, and we are here to assist with those few things they need assistance with as they age in place. If the time comes, our residents may transition to our wonderful Memory Care that is located in the same building as assisted living.

Heartis Longview offers transportation in the Longview area on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30am-5:00pm. Residents schedule their appointments, and the Concierge will add the appointment to the transportation calendar for them.

Assessments are completed by the Health Services Director for Heartis Longview, the Resident Care Coordinator, or the Executive Director. This is completed prior to move-in and 30 days after.

The care staff-to-resident ratio is determined by acuity (level of care) in memory care. At this time, we have 3 caregivers in memory care giving us a 1/4 caregiver to resident ratio.

Heartis Longview welcomes residents to have a pet that they are independently able to manage and care for. We have a gorgeous property with a beautiful water feature for our community pets to enjoy as much as our residents.

This is based on 4 foundations: Social Roles-everyone has a desire to be helpful, Skill-Focused-our Montessori Assessment Tool uncovers remaining skills often missed by traditional assessments, Procedural Memory-repetition allows routine activities to be performed with less need for concerted concentration, and Progression & Goal Setting allows residents to become fully engaged and feel more successful.

Heartis Longview offers an emergency pendant for each of our assisted living residents. The emergency pendant is included at no extra charge. We also use a keypad that allow families and residents access to the building from the hours of 7pm-7am. We do not give this code to anyone that is not on the emergency contact list. If a resident or family member wishes for someone to have this code, they may give it to whomever they wish.

The overall population at Heartis assisted living are very independent. The average age of our senior community is 85. Our seniors enjoy daily Bible study, fishing in our beautiful pond, weekly outings, or popcorn and a movie in our comfortable theater.

Many of our residents feel as if they are going out to eat lunch or dinner and being served in a restaurant setting; we join their reality 24/7.
