I Visited This Community
I liked the location of Brookdale West University and that the people were about in the same shape as I am. This was the one that came out on top for me. However, they didn't have a microwave nor a wash and dryer, the refrigerators were old-fashioned, old appliances, and the kitchens were tiny. I’m using modern, up-to date appliances, and I’m not going backwards to someplace that didn’t have them. Other than that, the facility was nice. They had good social activities and a nice room for birthdays and special occasions, which I thought was nice. I really would rank it a 5, except for those minor things. This was the place I would have fit in, if they had just renovated everything. I didn’t hear any complaints from the people I know, who live there about the food, so I assume it’s good. There’s a lot of walking involved in going from one place to another, so if you have back trouble or a walking problem, it’s kind of hard.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident
Filthy disgusting facility. Roaches! Dirty buildings. The whole place needs painting. It's an old apartment complex. Very run down. Elevators are like a carnival ride. The Bistro is nothing special. Bistro is a code word for hospital food. Avoid this place. Your loved ones will thank you!
