The best way to get to know a community is by scheduling a tour. See the facilities, meet the staff and residents, and get a feel first hand what it's like to live at The Forum at Park Lane Assisted Living.
There was nothing wrong with The Forum at Park Lane. We liked it a lot. We would've settled there, but we couldn't get together on the price. The furnishings were a little tired and the facility could use some updating. Not to say that they were out of line price wise, it just didn't fit our budget.
The Forum at Park Lane is a large facility. It's maintain nicely but, some of the furniture could be replaced. Residents rooms are a nice size and open. There's a fair amount of storage. The bathrooms have hand rails to assist residents and towel racks and storage for organization. Chandelier lighting and tables set for dining make the dining area feel nice and grand. The food is wonderful and accommodating for those with special diets. The staff is professional and caring. Their always available and willing to help you even when their busy. The activities and amenities include exercise, games, outings and live entertainment.
This facility is clean and in very good condition, offers assisted living, independent living,as well as an on-site skilled nursing unit for those requiring medical care and rehabilitation. I have heard many compliments about the food, including the quality and variety of the meals that are offered. There are a number of amenities including a beauty shop, fitness center, and concierge. Overall it feels more like a luxury apartment complex than a facility, while at the same time offering a high quality of care to those who need it. They have well equipped bathrooms with built-in seats in some and grab bars installed, a call light system, and nursing staff available if necessary. All of the apartments that I have seen were very nice, spacious, and up-to-date with granite counter tops, new appliances, and plush carpet and/or hardwood flooring. Very nice place to call home!
Located just north of Downtown, The Forum is located only minutes from many restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores. The activity calendar is full every month. The building is beautiful on the exterior and the interior, and I have always seen the building clean and odor free. The staff members have never been very accommodating and friendly during my visits. The staff, along with nursing and the physicians works with each resident and their family to change medical care as needed.
