I visited Creekside at Shallowford. It was a little bit more of independent than my dad could have. We would have had to hire outside nurses and everything. I liked the part where the family could come and go, because he would have to be in an apartment on his own, and I really like one of the rooms that we looked at. I really liked it. The man, Michael, was really nice and he explained the facility to me. He has followed up and checked on my dad as well. I liked this one room that was on the second floor. It had a view of the outside and had a little porch he could go out on if he wanted. It looked like they had a lot of good activities that the people could participate in. It was pretty ideal. I liked the location, too. It was like back, past the main road, and it was kind of back in a near wooded area. It had a pretty view. The staff that I met was friendly. Everything seemed good. It was fairly new and updated. They also provided rides to different places for the people that rented there.
My parents are in Creekside at Shallowford. It is beautiful and wonderful. This place is fabulous. It is friendly, warm, and welcoming. My mother absolutely loves it. She has gone from being reclusive to getting out and making friends. She is enjoying the meals too. My stepdad would not get out and do anything, but now he is out and participating in football parties and enjoying the music. The difference is night and day. It is wonderful. The staff members are great. They are warm, welcoming, and very attentive. They clean the room, they take all the towels, wash the clothes and sheets, they sweep and mop the floor, and they clean the bathroom and the kitchen. The dining area is beautiful. Between every meal they keep it formally set. They do their major meal at lunch and then they have a lighter meal at supper, which is usually advantageous for elderly people. They have a master chef on staff, so the meals are very good. I would give it the highest score possible.
My aunt moved into Creekside at Shallowford, and I really love the place. They have activities every hour, they have puzzles all over the place, exercise classes that she likes, and I think it's so nice that she has things to do. The people that were working there seem to be happy. We like the food and I think it's pretty good. I liked that they had a place for people to go walking, it was shaded and there were lots of flowers and places for people to sit around and talk.
I moved into Creekside at Shallowford a month ago. It's a good place, everything is well-organized, and we're not really hurting for anything. The staff is very good, and they're like one of us. I have a one-bedroom apartment, washers and dryers are available, they have something for us to do every day, and the food is really good. Once a week we have a Christian service, and there's an exercise room.
The person who took us on the tour at Creekside at Shallowford was great. He sat down and talked to us, gave us information, took us around and showed us the facilities that were there and what were available for us. I was very pleased. The rooms were more like a one room and one bathroom. They had rehabilitation that they could go to if needed, and doctors that would come to see them. They have transportation there for them if they want to go to stores. The place was very well kept up and well maintained.
I really liked Creekside at Shallowford. The family was able to eat with my father. It's a really nice place. The overall appearance and the layout were excellent They always had something for them to do. They took them to a movie, to The Tivoli, plays, and shopping. They didn't have an assisted part there. The dining room was big and nice and the food was good and nutritious. The staff was great. The pricing was good, but they had no services there. He had his apartment cleaned once a week and I had outside people come in.
What I like about Creekside at Shallowford is the staff, the manager, and the accommodations. The staffs work attitude is excellent, and the atmosphere of the place is excellent. Some of their amentities include an activity room, a salon, an exercise room, and they go on trips once a week. They also take the residents to shows, theres live music every week, and so on. The food is excellent, and they have very fine dining.
Creekside at Shallowford was very nice. They had activities for the residents. Everything was clean and nice, and I was fairly impressed with it. I liked the facility and independence of it for assisted living retirement, but they didn't have the round-the-clock care that I needed. The rooms were nice and were fairly roomy. They had some good space to them. The dining area was very nice, had fine dining, was very attractive. They would match up residents so they sat them at the same place most of the time, and that was very nice.
We have found a place for my grandfather at Creekside Independent Living. They’re very friendly, kind, and very nice. Someone comes in once a week to clean. They do games, movie nights, and go out to eat every Wednesday. There aren't very many employees, but the ones they have are pretty good. The rooms are small.
My sister is in Creekside at Shallowford. She likes it, and it’s a very nice place. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The facility is like you're going to a hotel, and the food's good. It has variety, and the chef gets feedback from the customers on what they'd like to have. I think it's good quality. They have exercise, entertainment, and arts. There are lots of activities. My sister's room is very nice and big enough. It's perfect.
We are moving my mom to Creekside within a couple of weeks. She loves it. I think the thing she likes most is having her independence, but still, she has a lot of opportunity to join in card games, play bingo, and use the transportation to go around town. She feels her accommodation is more like an apartment than a hospital room. The food is really good, and it is nice that there are options. They have a small gym, pool tables, and a beauty salon. The services are great, but she does not really need a lot of help from nurses or anything. What she does get that helps a lot is a lot of interactions, so that she does not become a hermit. She really likes that they bring her out of her shell.
The food at Creekside at Shallowford was good. The staff and residents were nice and seemed to enjoy living there. The place smelled clean and the grounds were nice. We were there Valentine's Day while they were dancing and crowning a King and a Queen. The only negative thing I can think of is that the rooms are not furnished, but they have handlebars in the showers. The apartment was very nice and clean.
