I visited Hidden Lakes and I liked their cottages. The residents were well cared for, and the staff was wonderful. They were getting ready for a birthday party when we went there. The cottages were clean, bright, roomy, they had a fireplace, an all gas kitchen, stove, washer and dryer, and two bathrooms. They have a lake there.

My brother-in-law is in Hidden Lakes. It's really great and they have been very kind to him. He's very difficult to work with, but they have bent over backward to try and accommodate him. I have been impressed with it. He went on a field trip yesterday to the casino and it made him happy because he won money. He complains that it takes a long time to be served during meals. We ate with him two or three times when he was moving in and I agree with him about the service, but the food was very good. They have a library and church services. It's very expensive, but it was the best deal we could find compared to other ones. It's a great building, but he happens to be on the fifth floor, and he has to go into two different elevators. It's been very confusing to him in terms of the layout.

I chose Hidden Lakes because the outside grounds are very pretty with the lake that you can walk around. All of the people that work here are very helpful. They have plenty to do if you want to participate or if you don't want to, then you have your privacy. The rooms are very nice. It's everything that I need. The food is good. There are lots of nice people to converse with at mealtime.

I was really impressed with Hidden Lakes. They have cottages on their grounds for independent living. They're part of a group of homes across the country, and they told me that if I move into Hidden Lakes and wanted to travel, that I can stay overnight in one of their facilities across the country. The largest room they showed me was a 1-bedroom. It was bigger and more spacious than I thought it was going to be. They didn't have any empty cottages to show me. The 1-bedroom apartment they showed me was on the top floor. I looked at the dining room and it was a very nice place. The staff was able to answer my questions very well.

I have lots of friends here at Hidden Lakes now and I've been here for 6-1/2 years and there's no reason to move. I have a very nice apartment. We have good transportation to activities, to the beach, or wherever we decide we want to go, and that always works out well. The food from the last chef we had was better. They changed chefs and this one hasn't quite caught on to what we prefer, but he's getting better.

We visited Hidden Lakes. The room we saw was OK. It was a good place to stay but a little more expensive than I wanted to pay. They had bingo, puzzles, dominos, cards, and different types of activities and a library. The staff did excellent work and weren't goofing off. It was clean. The menu looked pretty good, but I didn't get to sample any of it. It's expensive.

I visited Hidden Lakes. The apartments were very nice. They had a recreation room and a library. None of the staff looked happy and the person who showed me around gave me the quickest tour I've ever had. Most places have given me about 45 minutes of their time, and I only got about 15 minutes there. The facility looked clean to me. The apartments were nicely sized and arranged. The outdoor area was beautiful with the lake.

The grounds of Hidden Lakes were really beautiful. The only thing I noted was that they need to replace the carpeting in the main building. The dining setup was very nice. I went to their special event and the dining hall was full of residents, but the meal took a very long time to get served to everyone. They may have needed more staff. They also need a little update on some of their activities for newer members. They just had Bingo and cards, but not a lot of hands-on activities like ceramics or that kind of thing. It was very old school instead of the modern or newer trends that newer facilities are encompassing. The surroundings and the walkways were just gorgeous.
