The Village at Keizer Ridge

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

The Village at Keizer Ridge was a beautiful and practically new community. The apartments were very nice and the people couldn't have been nicer. They were very good to us during the time that we were there, so I can't say anything bad about them; they did very well. The dining area was light, airy, and roomy, and the food was just fine. They have a theater, a salon, lots of activities, and they post it on each day so you know what's happening. Some of the activities include church on weekends, bible studies, bingo, and they have a bus that is available for tours, shopping, and all kinds of things nearly every day of the week. I think we're getting more for the money we're paying than we've gotten elsewhere. It was less expensive than some of the other places we've looked at and offered more.

I Visited This Facility

My first impression of The Village at Keizer Ridge was great. It was beautiful, new, and nicely decorated. They had lots of things to do, nice staff, and lots of medical assistance to give out meds, all of which was lovely. We ended up being disconcerted when they did an assessment and determined that my mom was fine for their facility and then backed out when she was hospitalized. She was assessed by their nurse and we were giving them information and they passed her with flying colors, but when they realized she was in the hospital, sick and with dementia, they said they couldn't take her, so it was kind of disappointing. By appearance, the place was marvelous, but I felt like they glossed over the assessment to get her as a resident, and they weren't really being honest about what they were able to do for her. It just felt like the corporate needs of the director overrode the physical abilities of the person who was applying for residence there. I wish they had been more upfront.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

My father is in The Village at Keizer Ridge. It's new and seems to have a wonderful staff. The people who live there talk about not only how nice the facility is, but how nice the staff is. There's a men's club there, which is a nice group for guys, and a little movie theater. It is a beautiful place. He has a simple, good-sized apartment. Everything is new and there's plenty of closet space. The bathroom is quite large and has lots of room. Once it's all furnished, it's quite cozy. The food is amazing, and they actually have a chef. I was there for one meal. It's a nice place. I was quite impressed with the fair pricing.
