I am/was a resident of this facility
We have moved into Brookdale Valencia. I'm impressed. We have not had one meal here that we couldn't handle. This is very good. They have transportation, too. We had a situation where we needed to go to the store and they made arrangements because it wasn't a day that you can go to the store, and I was impressed by that. All of the staff members are good. They have a pool and a hot tub, which are important to me. The people are very friendly. The staff is very helpful, too. When you call, they'll come within 10 to 15 minutes, which is good, but they have to finish whatever they're doing first for someone else, which is reasonable. Food is excellent. The place is very good, very wonderful and very easy to get around. It is cheaper than what we were paying before and is 100% better.

I visited this facility
Brookdale Valencia was really nice and comfortable. The people were really nice. Everything was good. The location was pretty easy to get to. The rooms we saw had two people and each had a TV with a curtain in-between. It was pretty nice; not fancy but good. They had two or three nice dining areas, and the food looked pretty good. They had a workout area and a really nice courtyard.

I stayed at Brookdale Valencia last year. Their accommodations were excellent. They offered everything that one would expect. I liked the food because it was very home-style.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My mother-in-law is currently staying in Brookdale Valencia. It's fine, but she doesn't like it there because it's too big. It's not very personable, especially with this COVID situation. She's very lonely, and they're not doing anything to make sure she's not. This has really been a very bad experience, and it's been really hard for her. They have a tiny exercise area, a hairdresser that comes in on Wednesdays, and they have a lady that does exercises in the morning.
