My mom was a patient at Elmwood for almost 4 months. In that time I can’t say enough great things about her care. The staff at S1 were amazing. Keith, Elisa,Kaitlyn, Mike, just to name a few. Her therapists, nurses, aides, activities staff and even her housekeeping staff were always so kind and caring for her. She enjoyed her meals and snacks. I am so thankful that my mom had the amazing care that she did while she was there.

Jaleesa, the unit manager in one west is incredible! My mom has been a resident there for two years and has spent the whole pandemic in the One West Wing. Jaleesa has gone above and beyond her duties by ensuring my mother’s needs were met even if it meant staying late. Jaleesa has been communicating with me at least three times a week, she listens intently to concerns, in addition to following up on questions. It has been a sad year being unable to visit and hold my mom, but Jaleesa has given me peace of mind and comfort with her kindness and support towards my mom and me. She has touched my life with her genuine kindness, and she was able to calm my worrying during some of the most uncertain times I’ve ever seen in my life. She truly has found her calling, and the residents and their families are lucky to have her....

My mom has been in rehab at Elmwood Hills since October. It's close to us and very clean. The room has two people in it and a big bathroom. My mom has a closet, too. The staff members are very good. They're a little short-handed, but they're very good. From what I have seen, the food is OK. My mom likes some of it. There's a craft room downstairs, a beauty shop, a cafeteria, and a chapel. They play games. My mom does PT and OT, so there is also a big room for that.
