WOULD NOT RECOMMEND INSPIRED SENIOR LIVING OF LAS VEGAS. SERVICE IS AWFULD, FOOD IS AWFUL, NO LEADERSHIP. I HAD TO MOVE MY HUSBAND OUT WITHIN 4 MONTHS OF BEING THERE. HE WAS NOT HAPPY, DIDN\'T FEEL SAFE HAVING HIM THERE AND BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF CARE, HE WAS VERY STRESSFUL THERE. THEY NEVER DID A WELLNESS CHECK ON HIM DURING HIS ENTIRE STAY, WAS PROMISED A WELLNESS CHECK SEVERAL TIMES A DAY DURING OUR TOUR AND CONTRACT SIGNING. THEY DID NOT LIVE UP TO THEIR DEAL.

What a horrible place. I am currently here, and will be for a while. The facility is old, worn down, dirty, smelly, and everything else. Food, don\'t even go there, I guess the upside is I will be bake to loose weight rather than eating this dog food. They don\'t even bring me food, I have to remind them everyday that I am here and entitled to a tray! They have 15 beds per each CNA. Essentially, if you\'re coming here, then you\'re coming here to die. There is no care here, just pain and agony!

Overall, I would give Montara Meadows a solid "A". It is good and I like it. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It seems very clean to me.

My parents were residents of Acacia Springs for almost 2 years. The care in the facility is great, it's an active community, the food is good, the places are clean, and the two bedrooms are very adequate. They started in independent living, and now they're in assisted living. It's not a huge place, it's a nice place, it's more intimate, and they do interact a lot with people there. Everybody knows each other. They have a pool, you can use it year-round if you want, it's heated, it's outside, they also have a hot tub that's inside, they have 2 dining rooms, one for independent and one for assisted living. Even if you're in assisted living, you can go to the independent side, you can go to either side you want. My father likes to have omelets every morning, so they give him an omelet every single morning, cause that's what he wants. You can have breakfast in your room at any time, and they'd like you to go down for lunch and dinner, to one of the cafeterias. The dining room is nice, especially on the independent side. Because of the pandemic, they haven't had their bar open, they had a fruit bar that was open 24/7, but when things settle down, they'll reopen it, and you'll be able to get your coffee or anything like that any time of the day without asking somebody to get it for you. They have the typical bingo and other games. My mother goes to an exercise class almost every day, and if it's nice, they do it outside. They have a movie room and a library, they have a beauty shop, and the best exercise room of any assisted living I've been in. It's clean, it's not like over- the- top showy, it has that very home feel to it, the lady who runs it is phenomenal, she does an excellent job. They brought someone in for their flu shots, anybody who wanted their flu shots could go upstairs and get them, same with their covid shots. They have two buses, three days a week, they'll drive you anywhere you wanna go, to your doctors, or hairdressers, anywhere. You just sign up for it. There are dinner sign-ups if you wanna go for dinner, they'll take your group to dinner somewhere outside the facility, or they do trips to Walmart, they save Mondays and Fridays for shopping needs, and if you can't do the shopping, they'll shop for you. You just pay for whatever your thing was, they don't make you pay extra for that, that's all included. They're very helpful there. They have a couple of different church services there. They started having cocktail nights, and they have live music, entertainers come in and sing, and whoever has a birthday on a certain month, they have a special birthday dinner for them, and they'll have cake or a meal of their choice like steak or lobster, whatever they decided to fix, and they recognize the veterans. The veterans always have their pictures on the wall. The one drawback I would say is the one-bedroom is really small, but some people are fine with it, one of my mom's neighbors is there too, she has the one-bedroom, and it suited her fine 'cause she goes "I'm never in my room unless I'm sleeping or just relaxing." They have two outdoor areas, they also have a courtyard that you can have cookouts in, and they have a little putting green there. You can have pets.

My father moved into Better Living for Seniors two weeks ago, and it's excellent. They accommodate six residents in private rooms. They provide excellent personal and one-on-one care. The home is very comfortable. The staff were wonderful, caring, and very nice. They have TV, games, and all sorts of different things. They have been updating or redoing the entire house, and it is very well kept. The food is very good; he likes it much better.
The median cost of independent living in Las Vegas for a single-occupancy apartment is $2,231/month (SeniorHomes.com - 2015). This monthly cost typically includes rent, utilities, dining, housekeeping and transportation.
Due to its huge success as a tourism destination, the city offers Las Vegas independent living residents almost any attraction they can imagine. Though it’s located in the middle of a desert region, Las Vegas boasts 70 publicly-maintained parks for peaceful outdoor strolls, as well as twelve public swimming pools. The nearby Las Vegas Premium Outlets feature 150 stores, including designers like Cole Haan and Coach, to entertain avid shoppers and bargain-hunters. Interesting historical diversions such as the Law Enforcement Museum and Neon Museum are another great location for day trippers.
Seniors who opt for Las Vegas independent living are sure to enjoy the benefits offered by the city’s senior center. Operated by the city itself, this comprehensive center not only has classes for activities like dancing, senior driving safety, and arts and crafts, they also have multipurpose rooms and a kitchen for senior-centric events. The center provides useful services such as tax preparation and health screenings to seniors, ensuring that important needs can be taken care of in between exciting activities, classes and field trips.
Valley Hospital, located in central Las Vegas, features a number of treatment options that are ideal for seniors choosing Las Vegas independent living situations. With state of the art response teams in niches like stroke emergencies, physical rehabilitation, wound care, and hyperbaric treatment, seniors can rest assured that they’re in good hands. Osteoarthritis care is also elevated to a new level with the hospital’s recent addition of MAKOplasty Partial Knee Resurfacing techniques, designed to combat the debilitating effects of degenerative joint disease.
Due to its status as a major tourism destination, Las Vegas is known for its rich array of public transit options. In addition to taxi services sprinkled liberally over the city, residents of Las Vegas independent living communities enjoy a technology-connected network of information about city buses, monorails and more. Through easy, free smartphone apps, residents are able to check everything from open parking spaces downtown to live traffic cameras, to how long they’ll have to wait before the next bus arrives at their stop. With a senior lifestyle that’s just as busy as its legendary casino floors, those who choose Las Vegas independent living will quickly realize why so many retirees are flocking to this desert gem in droves. Great shopping, stellar public transit and a sensational senior center make every day in this town a winning one – and you can bet on that.
