Heritage Springs was a very pleasant community. The staff was very welcoming and everything was clean. If felt like home. Everything was well laid out. It felt like a place where you could stay and feel comfortable. The apartments were nice and small, but very well laid out. They seemed very pleasant and comfortable.
Hi Kathy-Thank you for taking the time to write such a caring review. I'm glad you enjoyed visiting our comfortable community and I agree with you our staff is very welcoming! I hope you had a chance to see the many apartment size options that we have to offer and even our two-bedroom. Please let us know if we can assist you further. We would love to have you join us for our Signature Breakfast with Chef Celeste's famous pancakes on Weds. 7/18, just give Kiel a call with your RSVP.
My mom is staying in Heritage Springs. The place is aged. It is not horrible, but it is older than the other place. The care is good, but the food is bad. All the people are very nice, but they have very bad food. Honestly, I think the food needs to improve. If they would improve the food, it would be worth the money we're paying. They only offer one special at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My mom's room is nice. We bought my mom all brand-new furniture when she moved there, but she has had some issues with her plumbing and the sink keeps leaking. They do quite a bit of activities to keep them active. The activities are actually good because last Wednesday when I went, they had a party, there was a person singing, and they had food. They do that quite often. My mom actually stays active there. In the morning they do current events, then they do some sit-down chair exercises, and they play Bingo, which she goes to everyday. She goes to church on Sunday now. She never did before, but now she goes. The staff members are all very nice people. They have been good to my mom and they're really nice to us. They take good care of the people there.
Thank you for your review, we are glad to hear that your mom is enjoying our activity programs and that you feel good about the care we are providing to her at our community. At Heritage Springs we strive to be a 5 star community, so we would love to have the opportunity to talk with you more about our dining program to see if there is something we can do to help improve your experience. As a rule we offer two main options at lunch and dinner as well as an Always Available Menu, but we always welcome feedback and input from our residents and families on what items they would like to see added or removed from our menus. In addition, we have some nice renovations planned for our community this year that we think everyone will be excited to see. Our Executive Director would be interested in talking with you about what we could do to help change your three star experience to five so please contact her at your convenience – Trina Anderson
I was over at Heritage Springs three or four times. I didn't really meet anybody like the CNAs or the nurses, but I did talk to the business manager. They were all very nice. I didn't spend a lot of time over there, but it looked very nice and clean.
I was very impressed with Heritage Springs. It was a very nice place. There were about 20 activities they offered every day. The food was the best because they had an excellent chef. The price was pretty good, and it's on a monthly basis. You didn’t have to sign a contract, so if you want to try living there for one or two months, you can without any hassle. Every other place that I went to had a non-refundable community fee.
My sister moved into Heritage Springs in December. It's very nice and the staff is really great. However, if I take her out and bring her back after 6:30, it's not easy. She uses her call button, but it takes the staff five minutes or so to get downstairs, leaving her standing in the lobby. I'd wait for her until they came down so they could take her wheelchair and her walker. The food is very bland, there's not a lot of variety and she has complained about it. They have three or four activities a day and there are special activities for the holidays. They have Bingo, poker, exercising, current events, cooking classes, and they take them to Wal-Mart and the 99 cents store once a week. You can arrange for them to use the facility's bus. For instance, once a month she plays Bunco with me and my friends and it's at different homes. The bus from Heritage Springs will bring her out and deliver her to the house where it's at.
I love the ambience and setup at Heritage Springs. Everything was great. The staff seemed very nice and very involved with the patients. The manager was great, too. The rooms were adorable but expensive. The room was big and for two patients. It was bare, but I thought it would work.
The Heritage Springs was very good. The studio I saw was nice and adequate, but the memory care unit was very crowded. It would be good to have an activity area there also. They serve 3 meals a day and snacks. The staff was very informative and answered all the questions that I had.
My relative was in Heritage Springs for two months. It was kept up well, and the grounds were clean and neat. The food was good, but we definitely experienced some issues with service and medication. I know there was theft going on in the facility. It didn't affect us personally, but there definitely were some concerns. They weren't always very responsive. It's difficult getting in and out of the building after hours because it is lockdown. People wouldn't answer the phone or come to the door quickly. It's OK, but I would not want to live in a place like that. What impressed me was the cleanliness and the entertainment and activities that they offer. I would recommend it if they have a family member visiting daily or if they have someone able to check in, monitor, and keep up on things. Otherwise I would not.
We placed my father-in-law at Heritage Springs. It?s a very nice, beautiful place, but we still has problems with getting his bed and his trash emptied every day, which is something in the contract that should be done on a daily basis. Other than that, we are not moving him out because of that, but we were not very happy with things not being done yet was told would be done on a daily basis. The rooms and apartments are beautiful and very clean. They do have a lot of activities going on like church services every Sunday, birthdays parties, and bingo. My father?s comment about the food is that he would like the food to be seasoned a little more.
Heritage Springs was good. It was smaller, didn't have any availability, and a lot of the people were also lower-skilled. It was nice, and it was alright. It was very low-skilled so most of their patients were obviously more progressed in their disease. It was nice but it just has small quarters.
Heritage Springs was a very pleasant place. They showed me where they hold the music, entertainment, and activities that are very soothing for their residents. The facility itself was very clean and fresh. They allowed a seven-day visit, which I find very important. This place was very unique, and everything was in order. The menu was fantastic.
I am so impressed by this community and their dedicated and caring staff. I would be very comfortable moving a family member here. The staff treats residents with dignity and respect. The compassion they show is amazing. They encourage and expect the residents to participate in daily activities.
