This waiver may also help cover personal care essentials not included in a Medicaid plan, such as specialized medical equipment and environmental accessibility adaptations. This waiver is not just for seniors, but seniors can retain enrollment after age 64 if they meet the program’s criteria for income, assets and medical need. If the applicant is married, they can request asset protection for the spouse remaining at home.
