Description of The Village at Riverwood
A well-known landmark, The Villa at Riverwood has been serving seniors in the prestigious Riverwood Estates neighborhood since 1985. Our village-like retirement community is set upon 25 acres on the outskirts of Saint Louis and filled with active seniors enjoying deluxe independent living.
The Villa at Riverwood is managed by Five Star Senior Living. Five Star is a healthcare and senior living services provider that operates independent and assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation hospitals, institutional pharmacies and outpatient health rehabilitation clinics throughout 30 states.
Featured Amenities
Our more than 100 apartments come in a selection of spacious floor plans featuring in-suite climate controls and an emergency call response system for added safety and security. Pets are also welcome to join their owners at The Villa at Riverwood.
Our community sits among acres of landscaped grounds which include a reflecting pond, waterfalls, open courtyard and walking track. Residents are encouraged to explore our grounds as well as make use of our exercise room, billiards table and on-site book and video library.
Available Services
To ensure our residents are making the most out of their retirement years, our cheerful staff are available day and night to take care of the housekeeping, linen service, transportation and security. We also serve three hot meals per day in our restaurant-style dining room and stock our beverage bar 24 hours a day.
At The Villa at Riverwood, we also offer seniors the unique opportunity to visit our community on a short-term basis. Our short-term or respite stay guests enjoy many of the same amenities as our permanent residents including hospitality services, meals, transportation and activities.

I was very impressed with The Villa at Riverwood, including the security. Everything about the place is impressive. My only concern is that they do have elevators, but they also have steps, and for someone is not in a position to stay in a place with steps, that would be a risk. I like the location, everyone was friendly and nice, and the amenities offered were all very good. I love the dining options and the dining itself. The individual apartments are perfect for a senior living alone, and it still provides a sense of independence. They have activities setup daily that the residents can take part in, and they have a nice little lounge area that they can sit in so they don't have to be in their apartments all day. They also take the residents to the doctor if needed, or to the stores and banks, and that's very good. The staff members were all very nice and friendly.

The Villa at Riverwood was clean and nice. The small apartments have a kitchenette, stove, refrigerator, sink, bathroom, and closet space. The staff was good and really nice. They had an elevator to go upstairs.
