Brookdale Creve Coeur was beautiful. The rooms and the closets were huge, which is what I like, and the price was reasonable, too. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful kitchen, the living room was huge, and they had cut-out places where you can put things like a computer or a sewing machine. They have a store, a swimming pool, a family room, a chapel, and a library, and they do all kinds of crafts, too. As for the staff, you couldn't ask for a more pleasant person to talk to. She and my husband were making each another laugh. It was an older building, but that didn't bother me.

My father-in-law was in Brookdale Creve Coeur. He was there for almost a year. They have some assisted living but it's on the light side. As far as activities, there's a pool there but it was closed. There's an exercise facility but it was of limited use. They have a hair salon, and there are plenty of facilities. Brookdale Creve Coeur was a large place with a nice little walkway. However, they were restricted in what they could do. They typically had planned outings that they stopped because they didn't want the residents to be out. My father-in-law had a nice room. It was a studio-plus, but it was large. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. We weren't allowed in; the Covid protocol was good. It was a little on the pricey side.

We were told they had a higher standard in care. However, we are constantly charged, without notice for supplies. We are having to pay a rental charge for a bed and chair alarm. Now a rental chair fee. It\'s been over a year, but now we must pay a rental chair fee. I would not be surprised if we were charged for silverware usage in the future. They refer to activities, but how could I validate when I am shown the same 3 pictures for the last 5 months. It\'s pulling teeth to get information from staff. I expected a higher standard based on the higher cost, but paying more certainly dos not equal better care. Our family is very disappointed.

We went to Autumn View Gardens Assisted Living. It was modern, it had the assistance I was looking for, and the amenities were up to standard. It was very nice, the landscaping, the building location, the cleanliness, the room size, the staff, and support. I liked it. They also had a community area.

What my mother-in-law could afford for assisted living at Autumn View Gardens was basically a dorm-like situation with three bedrooms where they all share one bathroom. It had one small living area with a refrigerator. She would not have liked that, and she couldn't afford to do a private assisted living there. It was a very nice place, and they're going to be doing a complete renovation. It's nice that they have a nurse on-staff at all times who distributes the medicine. I liked the person who showed me around. The common area of the dorm room itself was not very appealing. It had a couple of chairs and a refrigerator, and it wasn't very welcoming.

Autumn View Gardens is great, everybody there is really nice and they do a good job. It's a really nice community and very pleasant out of everything I have looked at that my brother could afford to qualify. It's wonderful, it's really good. They have bingo, baseball game nights and all kinds of different things going on. My brother is in a 2-bedroom suite, he shares a bathroom and a huge walk-in closet with another gentleman. So it's perfect for his situation. Their dining area is beautiful, it's a 2-storey windowed dining room. They also have a garden and the residents can work in it. The rooms all have their own patio or deck they can go out on, so that's really nice. There are also 2 areas in front of the building with chairs that people could sit on outside and relax, it's really nice.

Brookdale Creve Coeur was beautiful, but they don't have long-term care. They have lots of activities and we got invitations to go to lectures and talks. It was very upscale. The rooms, amenities, and activities were first class. I felt like I'd have to buy new clothes if I were to move there. Everybody was well dressed, very active, they had dogs, and they were coming and going. I liked the poster of their upcoming activities, including what they had already done. The food was great.

Brookdale Creve Coeur was a nice place and the people we met were very nice. The apartments were nice. It was one of the more formal places. It was decorated very nicely, a little more formal than some of the others, but my mother-in-law did not care for the rooms, and thought they were dark.

My mom moved into Autumn View Assisted Living and our experience so far has been good. What stands out the most is the whole environment there with the residents, the staff, and how friendly they are. They seemed genuinely concerned, and my mom is happier because she has a little more private space there than where she was at before. They have physical therapy, they have a big room where they do a lot of activities, and they have church and things like that. They mainly help her with dressing and going to the bathroom.
